About Entity
Entity is building the destination for high calibre games on the web. A curated catalogue of bestselling full-scale game titles running natively in the browser: click a link and you’re playing in seconds on the device you already own.
There are no downloads, no installs and no new hardware. This new low-friction way of playing games is powered by the latest developments in web technologies such as WebAssembly and WebGPU, allowing us to render high-quality game experiences on your device. This is not a game streaming service; this is the power of the New Web.
For developers, we’re the official, licensed channel for proper games on the web. We offer self-serve D2C tools to publish, operate and grow their games, with social play, identity and a unique end-to-end business analytics suite built in.
We’ve signed top-tier publishers representing many millions of unit sales on PC and console to date and are preparing for our launch in 2027.
We’re early, funded and moving fast. Joining Entity at this stage is a rare opportunity to help shape our company and our mission. We are an AI-native business; embracing the latest technologies and tools is essential to being successful with us.
About the role
We're hiring a Product Manager to own the platform itself. That covers what players use to find, play and share games, and the portal and tools developers and publishers use to bring their games to Entity.
Product at Entity is split into two roles that work as one team:
- Product Manager, Platform (this role) owns what we build: core platform features, the player experience, developer tools, and the governance a platform needs, such as age verification, GDPR and payments compliance.
- Product Manager, Live owns how the product performs once it's live: the store, pricing, the player funnel, live ops and product performance.
You'll own the platform roadmap and decide what goes into each release. The Live PM is one of your most important internal customers.
You'll work inside the development team, not at a distance from it. We don't write a spec and throw it over the fence. We want someone who works through problems directly with engineers and designers, makes decisions quickly, and keeps everyone clear on the goal.
We're a small team with a launch window ahead of us, so we need to move fast and iterate. The right person knows how much process and documentation is enough to keep everyone aligned, and no more. You'll also be close to how games and players are changing, and keen to build for where the industry is heading.
Key responsibilities
- Roadmap and releases. Own the platform roadmap: what we build, when and why. Set the scope of each release, sequence the work and keep a single prioritised backlog for the platform team.
- Player experience. Define the core player-facing features, with core and mid-core players at the centre:
- Finding (Discovery), launching and playing games, quickly
- social features incl voice, spectate, virality
- accounts, profiles, billing and the core systems needed to run a consumer platform at scale
- cloud saves, trials, drm and the many other games specific features
- The playing experience across devices (Incl mobile web)
- Developer and publisher tools. Help define the tool suite that our game developers and publishers use to publish, manage and understand their games. We are a D2C self publishing and distribution platform unlocking the web as a channel.
- Governance and compliance. Own the platform requirements for:
- age verification and ratings
- GDPR and privacy
- accessibility
- security
- payment provider rules
- Payments infrastructure. Own billing and payments as a platform capability. The Live PM defines the pricing, offers and store experience that run on it.
- Technical health. Work with the CTO and VP Engineering to ensure quality. Set and hold targets for performance, reliability.
- Working with the team. Work with engineers and designers day to day to shape features together, solve problems as they come up and make quick, clear decisions.
- Light process. Keep documentation and process to what the team needs to understand the goal and what we're building, and no more.
- Data and feedback. Define success measures for every feature. Use data, player and developer feedback and testing to see what's working, and change quickly what isn't.
- Communication. Keep the wider team and leadership clear on plans and progress, including a short monthly updates and adhoc reports for senior leadership / investors.
Requirements
- 3+ years' product management on games or gaming platforms, including recent work on modern, player-facing products.
- A track record of shipping platform or core features for players, developers or both, and improving them based on results.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams as part of the team, not handing over specs.
- A working grasp of platform governance: privacy, age verification, payments or similar regulated areas.
- Good judgement on process: you know when a quick conversation is enough and when something needs writing down.
- Confidence using data to make product decisions, including setting success measures and reading player behaviour.
- A current, first-hand understanding of how people play and discover games today, including:
- where players spend their time: Discord, Reddit, Twitch, TikTok, YouTube
- how players aged 16 to 60 engage with games and games content
- how AI is changing how games are made, found and played
- Clear communication, and the ability to keep a small team aligned on goals and priorities.
- Based in the UK or Ireland, with the right to work there.
Nice to have
- Experience on a games platform, storefront, launcher or console ecosystem.
- Experience building products for developers, such as publishing portals, self-serve tools or SDKs.
- Experience with browser or web technology, or cross-device products.
- Experience with social features or products driven by community.
- Experience taking a product from pre-launch to launch.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or in a small, fast-moving team.
- A technical background, or enough technical understanding to discuss trade-offs credibly with engineers.
- A passion for games, and hands-on use of AI tools in your own product work.
Working Conditions
Entity is remote-first, but this role is only open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland, with a suitable home-working setup. We value autonomy, clear ownership, and outcome-driven work. Some flexibility in working hours is expected to support collaboration across the team. Occasional travel may be required for team sessions, industry events, or visits with development partners.
