Job Description:

DTN is seeking a strategic, technically proficient Senior Product Manager, Platform Ecosystem to lead the development and growth of our developer ecosystem and marketplace.

DTN is building a modern data and technology platform that helps customers across agriculture, energy, and weather-dependent industries make better operational decisions. In this role, you will define how customers, developers, and partners build on DTN's platform and how platform capabilities and partner offerings are brought to market.

The ideal candidate combines product strategy, technical expertise, and strong commercial judgment. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Data, Sales, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership to deliver a seamless developer experience, expand our marketplace ecosystem, and create new opportunities for platform adoption and revenue growth.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for DTN's platform developer ecosystem and marketplace, aligning priorities with customer needs and business objectives.
• Own and continuously improve the developer experience, including APIs, software development kits (SDKs), developer tools, and documentation, while establishing metrics to measure developer adoption and success.
• Build and grow a marketplace connecting customers with DTN and partner offerings, including product discovery, subscription experiences, and quality standards.
• Develop partner programs covering onboarding, certification, and commercial terms in collaboration with Business Development and Legal.
• Shape packaging, pricing, and monetization strategies for platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with customer value and commercial opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and technical Pre-Sales teams to develop clear product positioning, compelling value propositions, and customer-ready messaging.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders across DTN to ensure platform capabilities support both internal solutions and external developers and partners.
• Drive adoption and growth of the developer ecosystem by identifying opportunities to improve platform accessibility, partner engagement, and customer value.
• Balance technical considerations, partner economics, and business priorities to guide strategic product decisions and support long-term platform growth.

What You Will Bring to the Position

• 6+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning a platform product such as a developer platform, API product, marketplace, or partner ecosystem.
• Demonstrated success building and growing a two-sided product or ecosystem.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, packaging, partner economics, and business case development.
• Technical fluency in APIs, cloud and data platforms, and enterprise software architecture.
• Strong understanding of data products, data sharing, and data governance.
• Experience collaborating with Partnerships, Legal, and Sales teams to develop and execute commercial agreements.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
• Strong strategic thinking, ownership, and sound judgment, with the ability to make effective decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

• Experience working at an organization recognized for its developer platform or marketplace ecosystem.
• Experience with AI-enabled products or developer tools.
• Industry experience in agriculture, energy, commodities, logistics, or weather.
• Experience with developer relations or community engagement programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• MBA or other advanced business education.

Compensation

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $113,000 and $149,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
