About Sirona Medical

At Sirona Medical, we’re building software that enables physicians to work as fast as they can think.

Each year in the U.S., billions of patient images are captured—and nearly all of them are reviewed and diagnosed by radiologists. These specialists are the central hub of diagnostic medicine: over 80% of all healthcare data flows through radiology IT systems. Yet despite their pivotal role, radiologists are overburdened by outdated, fragmented software which limits their efficiency and ultimately the quality and efficiency of care that health systems can provide patients. That’s where Sirona comes in.

We’re a San Francisco-based, cloud-native software company with employees around the world. Our deep understanding of both the practice and business of radiology has allowed us to build RadOS—a unified, AI-powered operating system powering the entire radiology workflows.

How Sirona Solves the Problem

Sirona is uniquely positioned to transform the way radiology is practiced. We're delivering the organizational shift that both individual radiologists and entire practices urgently need:

  • A unified, intuitive, and platform-agnostic solution

  • A streamlined workspace that makes every part of the radiologist’s workflow faster and easier

  • The freedom to read from anywhere, for anyone

By cutting clicks, optimizing diagnostic time, and unlocking efficiencies that extend far beyond the reading room into all care settings, Sirona empowers radiologists—and in doing so, we help the entire healthcare system move faster, smarter, and with greater impact on patient outcomes.

Senior Product Manager - Viewer
Location: Remote (US). Preference for candidates based in Burlington, VT or the San Francisco Bay Area. If local, hybrid with three days per week in office.

Sirona Medical builds cloud-native radiology workflow software. This role owns the diagnostic viewer: how radiologists see, navigate, measure, and interpret images, and how the viewer connects to the rest of the reading workflow, from hanging protocols and priors to reporting.

You’ll work with engineers, designers, clinical colleagues, and customers to make the viewer faster, more intuitive, and more aware of what the radiologist is trying to do. The opportunity is to remove clicks, drags, and scrolls from the reading day, using AI where it makes sense.

Candidates coming from PACS or viewer product management, imaging informatics, radiologic technology, or clinical applications work at a PACS or radiology AI vendor are particularly well suited to this role. We’re looking for someone who understands how radiologists actually read, can spot friction others might overlook, and can turn that understanding into better software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the roadmap and priorities for the viewer, and defend those decisions to stakeholders across sales, customer success, and engineering
  • Define the radiologist’s image-reading experience: display, navigation, reading tools, comparison with priors, and advanced imaging such as multi-planar reconstruction, fusion, 3D rendering, and mammography
  • Own viewer performance as a product requirement, including image load times and responsiveness in a browser-based, zero-footprint environment, and the image delivery, caching, and API services behind it
  • Shape how hanging protocols and relevant priors present in the viewer, in partnership with the team that owns Sirona’s ontology and classification logic
  • Define how measurements, annotations, and AI findings made in the viewer flow into the report
  • Identify where automation, speech-driven interaction, and AI can remove steps from the radiologist’s day
  • Run discovery directly with radiologists, technologists, and system administrators at customer sites, and turn what you learn into prioritized requirements
  • Write clear product requirements and partner with design and engineering to move features from problem definition through launch and adoption
  • Partner with clinical, quality, and regulatory colleagues to ship safely in a regulated clinical environment
  • Define what success looks like for the viewer, and measure whether shipped work actually moved it

Key Requirements:

  • Five or more years of combined experience across product management, radiology operations, imaging informatics, or clinical applications, including at least three years in product management, and at least two years working directly with radiology imaging workflows
  • Working knowledge of how diagnostic images are stored, transmitted, and displayed: DICOM objects and metadata, multi-series and multi-modality viewing, and how the viewer interacts with PACS, RIS, and reporting systems
  • Demonstrated ability to turn observed clinical workflow problems into clear software requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a tradeoff to an engineer and to a sales leader in the same afternoon, in the right language for each
  • Sound judgment under ambiguity, and the instinct to go find the answer rather than wait for it
  • A collaborative working style. You share context early, ask for input before you need rescuing, and give it back when a teammate asks.
  • Experience shipping product in a regulated healthcare or medical device environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience as a radiologist-facing PACS or viewer product manager, PACS administrator, imaging informaticist, or radiologic technologist
  • Experience with advanced visualization such as MPR, 3D, or PET/CT fusion
  • Experience configuring or designing hanging protocols and reading-room layouts in a production environment
  • Familiarity with performance and latency tradeoffs in browser-based or streaming image delivery
  • Experience with AI or machine learning products in medical imaging or clinical decision support

Benefits

  • Stock
  • Competitive salaries
  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Maternity and Paternity Leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Apple equipment
  • Sponsorship for conferences, continuing education
