As a Senior Business Analyst, you need to be aware of wide variety of BA tools and techniques and apply them successfully and independently when addressing any challenge or opportunity, regardless of the level of its complexity. Based on your knowledge and experience (6+ years), you need to be able to autonomously identify the actions required to get the job done so that you are able to deliver business value for any change initiative. Moreover, you would need to feel confident in guiding, advising, mentoring, and supervising co-workers so that they enrich their skills and grow their underlying competencies.

Project Description

The project supports the regulatory reporting function of our customer in enhancing and assuring the quality of regulatory and statistical reporting (German ones). The role focuses on independently analyzing complex functional requirements, developing solutions, and coordinating and implementing changes within regulatory reporting.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Independently manage and deliver complex functional work packages within regulatory reporting.
• Analyze and assess regulatory requirements and develop suitable solution approaches.
• Coordinate functional activities and support the implementation of new or changed requirements in Abacus.
• Plan and coordinate data analyses, testing activities and measures to improve data quality.
• Manage and track defects and data quality issues and coordinate appropriate remediation measures.
• Provide functional guidance and review deliverables within the project team.
• Prepare and conduct workshops and coordinate functional discussions with relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and present functional concepts, decision papers and recommendations.
• Support project management with planning, status tracking and the coordination of functional project topics.

Domain Knowledge

• Several years of experience in banking, financial services or regulatory reporting.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory and/or statistical reporting (Germany).
• Very good understanding of regulatory reporting processes and the underlying data and processes.
• Sound knowledge of Abacus / Abacus360 or comparable regulatory reporting solutions. (Nice to have)

Technical Skills

• Very good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence in working with larger datasets.
• Knowledge of JIRA / XRAY, SQL or comparable analysis and testing tools.
• Experience with Abacus / Abacus360.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent working approach.
• Strong coordination skills and experience in managing functional work packages.
• Very good communication and presentation skills as well as confident stakeholder management.
• Ability to provide functional guidance to project team members.
• High-quality awareness and a strong solution-oriented mindset.

Languages

• Fluent German and/or English.
