Senior Product Owner — Digital Product

Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for a digital product end to end — translating business and user needs into clear requirements, and partnering closely with engineering and design to ship outcomes that matter, not just features.

Full-Time · Remote LATAM | Based in LATAM | English B2+ | 5+ Years Experience | Senior Level

About the Role

One of Committed Staff's clients is looking for a Senior Product Owner to drive the strategy and execution of one of their core digital products. This person will own the product roadmap end-to-end, turn business objectives and user needs into clear, prioritized backlogs, and work hand-in-hand with engineering, design, and data teams to ship features that move real metrics. They'll run discovery, define acceptance criteria, and make the day-to-day trade-off calls that keep the team building the right thing. A great fit for someone who understands the business but is just as comfortable in the weeds of a sprint — not a project manager, but an owner who is accountable for outcomes.

What Success Looks Like: A product roadmap the whole team believes in, a backlog that's always sharp and ready, and features that ship on time and move the metrics they were built for. A Product Owner who can walk into a sprint review, a stakeholder meeting, or a data review and speak fluently to all three — without needing a translator.

How You'll Work

  • Location: Remote · LATAM
  • Schedule: U.S. Business Hours
  • Language: English B2+

Key Responsibilities

  • Roadmap Ownership — Define and prioritize the product roadmap, aligned to business goals, user needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Backlog Management — Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria; keep the backlog groomed, estimated, and sprint-ready.
  • Discovery & Validation — Run user research, competitive analysis, and experiments to validate what's worth building before it's built.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership — Partner daily with engineering, design, and data teams; act as the single source of truth on product intent.
  • Stakeholder Management — Translate business priorities into product decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly to leadership and clients.
  • Metrics & Outcomes — Define success metrics for every initiative and use data to decide what ships, what iterates, and what's cut.
  • AI-Assisted Prototyping — Use AI tools to turn ideas into clickable prototypes and draft specs fast, validating concepts with stakeholders before a single ticket is written.

Requirements

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager on a digital product (web, mobile, or SaaS).
  • Proven track record owning a product roadmap and backlog end-to-end, from discovery through delivery.
  • Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs that engineering can build from directly.
  • Hands-on experience running agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, retros).
  • Comfortable working directly with data to define and track product KPIs and success metrics.
  • Deep understanding of business processes and how they translate into product requirements.
  • English B2 or higher — able to work fluently with U.S.-based stakeholders.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) for research, spec drafting, and rapid prototyping.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with analytics/BI tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
  • Experience with SQL for self-serve data exploration.
  • Experience with AI-powered prototyping tools (v0, Lovable, Bolt, Figma AI, or similar) to mock up ideas quickly.
  • Background in UX/UI collaboration or design thinking practices.

Tools & Technologies

Jira, Confluence, Product Roadmapping, Agile/Scrum, AI Prototyping (v0/Lovable/Bolt) — core stack
Figma, Amplitude/Mixpanel, SQL, A/B Testing Tools, ChatGPT/Claude/Copilot — advantageous

Profile — You're the Right Fit If You Are

  • An outcome-driven owner: You measure success by the impact a feature has, not by whether it shipped on the date planned.
  • A business-to-product translator: You understand how a business goal becomes a backlog item, and you can carry that thread end to end.
  • Data-informed: You back decisions with evidence — usage data, experiments, and user feedback — not just opinion.
  • AI-fluent: You reach for AI tools daily to research, draft, and prototype faster — not as a novelty, but as part of how you work.
  • Not a project manager: You care about the "what" and the "why," not just the "when." Ownership matters more to you than status updates.
