Job Purpose:
· The Senior Product Owner (GLAMS) is responsible for maximising the value of Artwork & Packaging products by translating business priorities and operational opportunities into measurable product outcomes, a prioritised backlog and controlled delivery across the product lifecycle. Working within the strategic, financial, architectural and risk guardrails set by the Associate Director - Tech Product Owner (GLAMS) and Product Domain Lead, the role ensures solutions are usable, secure, compliant, supportable and aligned to product strategy.
· The Senior Product Owner (GLAMS) guides Product Analysts and works with Engineers, Architects, Testers, Service teams and external partners to move priority opportunities from discovery through PoC, PoV or MVP validation where appropriate, and into scalable product delivery. The job holder makes day-to-day backlog and acceptance decisions, uses evidence to recommend continue, adapt or stop choices, and applies product performance information to improve adoption, stability, user experience and operational readiness.
· The role is accountable for maintaining clarity of scope, value and decision making throughout discovery, refinement, design, validation, testing, release and operation. It embeds Responsible AI, cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, GxP, architecture and service requirements from the start, and ensures validated solutions transition into sustainable product, supplier and support ownership. Strategic investment, major architecture and cross-product trade-offs are escalated to the Associate Director - Tech Product Owner (GLAMS) or Product Domain Lead in line with agreed decision rights.
Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with Artwork & Packaging stakeholders, users and technology teams to identify high-value operational opportunities and define measurable product outcomes within the strategy and guardrails set by the Associate Director - Tech Product Owner (GLAMS) and Product Domain Lead.
· Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring epics, features and user stories are supported by evidence on user value, process impact, cost, risk, dependencies, adoption potential and scalability, with clear and testable acceptance criteria.
· Lead structured discovery and, where appropriate, rapid PoC, PoV and MVP validation with Product Analysts, Engineers and business users, using real workflows and data to test value, feasibility and governance assumptions before committing to scale.
· Make evidence-based continue, adapt or stop recommendations and day-to-day scope, backlog and acceptance decisions within delegated authority, escalating investment, architecture and cross-product trade-offs through the agreed governance model.
· Lead iterative product delivery across refinement, design, build, testing, validation, demonstrations and release, ensuring traceability from business outcomes through requirements, controls and delivered capability.
· Ensure Responsible AI, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, GxP, architecture, quality, change and service requirements are incorporated from discovery and that specialist approvals and validation evidence are obtained when required.
· Coordinate software vendors and cross-functional delivery teams, holding partners accountable for quality, documentation, knowledge transfer, delivery commitments, service performance and achievement of agreed business and operational outcomes.
· Lead transition of validated capabilities into scalable, supportable product operation, including deployment, training, support models, runbooks, business continuity, configuration management, release documentation and lifecycle ownership.
· Define and use product measures covering adoption, process outcomes, user experience, stability, defects, service effort, vendor performance and realised value to improve priorities and product performance.
· Convert delivery learning into reusable product requirements, process patterns, data and integration needs, AI-enabled use cases and roadmap recommendations that simplify delivery across the wider Artwork & Packaging product landscape.
Basic Requirements:

· Demonstrated ability to prioritise based on value, process impact, risk, cost, capacity and technology dependencies.
· Experience guiding Product Analysts, Engineers, Architects and Testers through refinement, design, testing, release and adoption.
· Experience applying GxP, security, data protection, data-use and data-access restrictions, quality, validation, change and service-readiness controls in a regulated environment.
