Overview
Seismic is going through one of the most significant product transformations in its history. We're bringing together two leading enablement platforms. We're building a next-generation, AI-driven platform on a headless architecture. And we're expanding into compliance-focused capabilities for the most regulated industries in the world.
The Product Transformation & Strategy team makes sure those changes land well for customers and for the business. As a Senior Product Transformation Lead, an individual contributor role, you'll connect what customers need with what Product & Engineering builds. You'll turn what our go-to-market teams see in the field into structured insight, design programs that help customers move to new platform capabilities with confidence, and give executives the data they need to make better decisions.
This role isn't customer-facing, but it's built for someone who has been. You know how customers use enablement platforms day to day, what makes them adopt something new and what blocks them. You'll bring that perspective into how we plan, prioritize and roll out product change.
You'll start by helping us move from feature-by-feature gap analysis to a strategic, theme-based approach to platform transition. Over time, your scope will grow into the broader transformation of Seismic's product and operating model.
Who you are:
Required
- 7+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Technical Account Manager, Implementation Manager, Solution Consultant, Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect, ideally at a B2B SaaS company. Some of that experience should include program, strategy or operations work.
- Deep expertise in enablement platforms, and an understanding of how enterprise customers configure, adopt and get value from them.
- A track record of designing and launching new programs or processes from scratch, including the change management needed for adoption.
- Proven ability to influence without authority, and to manage stakeholders with competing priorities and strong opinions.
- Confidence communicating with and presenting to VP and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, and comfort pulling, combining and interpreting data from multiple systems (for example Salesforce, Snowflake or Jira).
- A working understanding of how software is built and shipped, including release cycles, sprints and launch gates.
- Hands-on use of AI tools in your daily work, and an interest in building automations that remove manual effort.
- Strategic thinking: you can step back from individual requests to see patterns and themes, and then turn them into an actionable plan.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with the Seismic and/or Highspot platforms.
- Experience building scoring models, health scores or segmentation frameworks for customer or product decisions.
- A background in human-centered design, service design or process design.
- Experience supporting a major platform migration, product consolidation or replatforming initiative.
- Familiarity with regulated industries such as financial services or life sciences, and their compliance needs.
- Experience building Slack workflows, bots or other lightweight internal tooling.
Who thrives here
- You're energized by ambiguity and enjoy building structure where none exists.
- You can earn credibility quickly with both a customer-facing VP and an engineering lead.
- You're pragmatic. You'd rather ship a useful version one and iterate than wait for something perfect.
- You care about the humans on both sides of the process: the customer adopting change and the internal teams making it happen.
What you'll be doing:
Build and own the customer fit and readiness model
- Design a customer fit score from scratch. It will assess each customer's readiness for new platform capabilities, using product usage, CRM, support and feature request data.
- Operationalize it so that Customer Success, Technical Account Management, Implementation, executives and our Transition Center of Excellence use it every week to decide where to focus.
- Keep improving the model as the product and customer base change, and tie it to measurable business outcomes.
Shift from tactical gap analysis to strategic themes
- Find recurring customer themes and transition blockers, and organize the work by product area (for example content, then engagement) instead of feature by feature.
- Turn customer signals into clear, prioritized input for product roadmaps, so that a meaningful share of the roadmap reflects the voice of the customer.
Design programs from the ground up
- Create new programs end to end: the systems, mechanics, incentives, buy-in strategy and change management.
- Fit processes into how field and product teams already work, with empathy for both sides.
Lead cross-functional alignment
- Bring together Product Management, Engineering, Product Operations, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Technical Account Management and Account Executives around shared priorities.
- Mediate when go-to-market and product teams disagree, find workable compromises and drive decisions forward.
- Present recommendations and progress to VP and executive leaders across Product, Engineering and go-to-market.
Use data and AI as force multipliers
- Pull and analyze data from disparate systems (Salesforce, Snowflake, Jira and others) and connect the work back to business impact.
- Use AI tools as a day-to-day coworker. For example, use them to pull insights from customer call recordings, cluster feature requests into themes, and build skills and automations (such as Slackbots) that scale the team's reach.
- Keep up with AI and industry trends, and bring new approaches to the team.
