The Senior Program Analyst- Insurance & Reinsurance is a key role and will support the operational and financial administration of insurance programs and related reinsurance arrangements. This role will serve as a key liaison across Program Management, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Claims, Finance, Controllership, Operations, and external program partners. The Senior Program Analyst- Insurance & Reinsurance will support new program onboarding, premium and claims bordereaux review, assumed and ceded reinsurance reporting, settlements, reconciliations, financial close and data quality controls. The role requires strong insurance program knowledge, analytical capability, and the ability to translate contract and program terms into accurate operational and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Insurance Program Onboarding Coordinate the operational and financial onboarding of new and renewed insurance programs, MGAs, and delegated authority arrangements. Review program terms, commission structures, reporting requirements, settlement provisions, and reinsurance arrangements to establish accounting and operational requirements. Partner with Underwriting, Program Management, Reinsurance, Claims, Finance, and IT to confirm program setup, reporting calendars, data requirements, and controls before launch. Bordereaux Creation and Data Validation Prepare, review, and reconcile premium, claims, commission, and reinsurance bordereaux using policy, claims, and financial data. Validate written and earned premium, commissions, fees, paid and outstanding claims, recoveries, and other program activity against source systems and contractual terms. Investigate data exceptions, missing information, duplicate activity, and reporting inconsistencies and coordinate timely resolution with internal teams and external program partners. Reinsurance Operations Support assumed and ceded reinsurance administration across quota share, excess of loss, facultative reinsurance, and other program reinsurance structures. Prepare and reconcile ceded premium, reinsurance commissions, claims recoveries, reinstatement premiums, funds withheld, and other reinsurance balances. Coordinate reporting and settlement information with reinsurance brokers, reinsurers, Finance, and Reinsurance teams and maintain complete supporting documentation. Program Accounting and Reconciliations Prepare and maintain program-level reconciliations covering premium, commissions, claims, reinsurance, cash, receivables, and settlement balances. Compare MGA, broker, reinsurer, and internal system reporting and investigate differences through resolution. Support journal entries, accruals, close schedules, and accounting adjustments related to assigned programs and reinsurance arrangements. Settlements and Cash Operations Prepare and review program and reinsurance settlement statements and supporting calculations. Coordinate amounts due to and from MGAs, brokers, reinsurers, and other counterparties and support timely cash allocation and settlement. Monitor aged or disputed balances and escalate material collection, settlement, or reconciliation issues for resolution. Controls, Data Governance and Process Improvement Maintain effective controls over bordereaux preparation, data validation, reconciliations, settlements, and financial reporting outputs. Maintain organized procedures, reporting calendars, workpapers, and audit-ready documentation. Identify opportunities to standardize and automate program onboarding, bordereaux creation, reconciliations, and reporting processes. To maintain compliance with any applicable US or International statutory or regulatory obligation as required by the role. This includes but not limited to obligations arising from: The prudent management of the business. Placing due regard on the interests of customers. Observing rules on Sanctions and financial crime. Regulatory requirements and local licensing restrictions. Promoting and follow the Group’s whistleblowing procedures. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Skills & Experience Strong knowledgeof insurance program structures, MGAs, delegated authority, premium and claims flows, commissions, and reinsurance. Ability to interpretinsurance and reinsurance contract terms and translate them into reporting, reconciliation, and settlement requirements. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work with large datasets. Ability to identify data, reporting, and settlement issues and drive them through resolution. Ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, counterparties, and recurring reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Collaborative approach and ability to work cross-functionally. Clear and concise communication skills. Familiarity with US GAAP and US Statutory insurance reporting and financial close requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively under strict deadlines. Ability to think critically, problem solve and plan and organize activities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience 4–7 years of progressive experience in insurance program operations, program accounting, reinsurance operations, premium accounting, or a related insurance function. Experience preparing or reviewing premium, claims, commission, and/or reinsurance bordereaux, including assumed and ceded reinsurance, quota share and excess of loss arrangements, reconciliations, and settlements. Preferred: Experience with a fronting carrier, specialty insurer, MGA, program administrator, delegated authority, or reinsurance organization. Preferred: Experience with policy administration, claims, reinsurance administration, ERP, workflow, or financial reporting systems. Preferred: Experience with program onboarding, cash settlements, premium receivables, reinsurance recoverables, or collateral reporting. Preferred: Exposure to Power Query, Power BI, SQL, or other data automation and reporting tools. The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $130,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
