What you’ll be doing…

You will be joining Verizon Business Group’s Product Organization as a critical member of the Strategic Enablement team. This team is responsible for the decommissioning of wireless and wireline products for all segments including Global Enterprise, Business Markets, Public Sector, and Wholesale. This team enables and ensures all the critical decommissioning activities are cared for within the business. To join this team, you could be an automation wizard and efficiency expert – someone that excels in automating complicated workflows and enjoys keeping a vast and complex organization moving forward at great speed.

In this role, you will help identify, prioritize, structure, and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You may not know all the answers, but you have a proven track record of working through difficult challenges by independently researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions. You are an unstoppable force while working through challenges, establishing and improving the organization as you go. You will work with all levels of management, including executive leadership so excellent communication skills are required. In addition, you will work to establish strong partnerships both within the product organization and with our partner organizations such as Finance, Network, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy. Maybe you are a top-notch visual communicator and information designer – able to transform complex ideas into compelling infographics and executive presentations. Or perhaps you can leverage our AI tools to automate follow-up with ease.

In this role responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Portfolio & Decommissioning Leadership
    • Drive portfolio simplification, lifecycle management, and wireless/wireline product decommissioning initiatives from scope definition to execution.
    • Serve as decommissioning lead—aligning strategic evolution across Infrastructure, Applications, and Orchestration verticals while collaborating with Product Owners, Legal, Regulatory, and the Customer Modernization Team (CMT).
  • Product Readiness & Channel Rationalization
    • Partner with product owners to ensure product readiness, build cross-functional playbooks, and manage stop-sell notifications.
    • Support the work to rationalize Channel and Sales Partner products within the VBG portfolio.
  • Strategy, Communication & Executive Presentation
    • Deliver fact-based recommendations, executive communications, and presentations for product strategy, transformation, business cases, and go-to-market plans.
    • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholder groups and provide senior leadership with regular updates on project status, metrics, risks, and issues.
  • Project Management & Data-Driven Execution
    • Lead key decommissioning efforts designed to reduce expenses.
    • Develop detailed project plans and action registers to track cross-tower initiatives and coordinate resources.
    • Analyze data drivers impacting key metrics and prioritize business improvements based on customer, stakeholder, and employee feedback.
    • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Product Management, Project Management or Technical Consulting Experience.
  • Experience with the VBG Wireline product portfolio.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Business products lifecycle management experience and knowledge of Channel Sales Partners.
  • Strong project management, financial acumen, and experience leading large integration programs or measuring KPIs (PMP, MBA, or VLSS preferred).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to derive insights, model data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in leveraging automation workflows and enterprise AI tools to optimize operational speed and efficiency.
  • Experience in risk mitigation, legal/regulatory compliance management, and stop-sell strategy execution during product decommissioning.
  • Strong ability to align and influence cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Network, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Legal teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with experience communicating and presenting to all organizational levels.
  • Experience in telecom or related industries, or tier-1 management consulting.
  • Proven leadership skills in cross-functional matrixed environments, change management, and problem-solving while building trust across teams.
  • Strategic thinking ability that translates into actionable ideas, driving operational efficiency and improving customer experience.
  • Track record of handling highly confidential information with professional credibility.

If this role sounds like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
