ANNUAL SALARY: $121,078.77

PURPOSE: The Senior Program Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Organizing Hub in ensuring the smooth operations for campaign execution. They are responsible for driving the implementation of the department’s goals, plans, and strategies. Additionally, they oversee the development and maintenance of systems and structures to enhance department-wide communication, monitor progress, and address needs from the National Organizing Director and across the Organizing Hub. The Senior Program Manager also takes an active role in the planning and execution of department-led meetings, campaign events and initiatives.

- Collaborate closely with the Director of Organizing Governance and Hub Management to efficiently manage, assess, and distribute high-priority action items throughout the Organizing Hub.
- Establish robust systems, structures, and tools to support campaigns and n department-wide initiatives, ensuring seamless follow-through.
- Supervise staff to ensure proper execution of campaign operations, logistics and program management.
- Work in conjunction with the Directors and Deputy Directors to facilitate internal communications, compile reports, administer contracts, track budgets and provide updates across the Organizing Hub for diverse audiences within the union.
- Exercise a high degree of judgment and discretion while collaborating with leaders and staff throughout the Organizing Hub, as well as interfacing with other Hubs, program departments, and the Executive office.
- Participate actively and assist with logistical support for Organizing Hub meetings, special projects, and campaigns as required.
- Ensure that supervised staff complete internal administrative reports and actively participate in departmental initiatives.
DIRECTION & DECISION MAKING: This position reports to the Director of Organizing Governance and Hub Management and works independently.
QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in political and/or labor organizing work.
- Past experience supervising and developing staff.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, develop and execute plans with minimal supervision.
- Proven track record of strategic thinking, analysis, and proactive decision-making for successful outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage and prioritize work under deadlines in a dynamic and evolving environment, both individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive issues related to staff and organization.
- Ability to cultivate trusted and productive working relationships with staff and leaders.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for organization, attention to detail, and adaptability in problem-solving within a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in G Suite programs. Familiarity with Quickbase, or similar platforms is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally performed in an office setting, but may be required to work in other settings conducive to performing the work required to complete the assignment, such as field assignments. Long and extended hours and travel required.
