About Bask & Lather Co.
Bask & Lather Co. is a fast-growing haircare brand built on culture, community, and results. As we scale across DTC, TikTok Shop, retail, and experiential channels, we require a highly disciplined Project Manager to drive end-to-end execution across new product development, marketing campaigns, and retail initiatives.
This role enables timely, accurate execution through clear ownership, integrated planning, early risk identification, and verified launch readiness.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager, Product & Marketing Operations to translate business priorities into completed product launches, marketing campaigns, and cross-functional business initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, this person personally builds and drives integrated project plans, resolves dependencies and blockers, holds owners accountable for commitments, and verifies that deliverables are approved, implemented, and complete.
This is a hands-on senior program management role accountable for integrated planning, proactive problem solving, and delivery across functions. The Program Manager challenges missed commitments, secures recovery plans, and escalates decisions with options and business impact, enabling execution without repeated follow-up.
The ideal candidate has personally managed physical consumer product launches and integrated marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment, coordinating Brand, Operations, Supply Chain, Social, E-commerce, CRM, Paid Media, and external partners. The role owns planning, dependencies, delivery tracking, escalation, and completion verification. Functional leaders retain ownership of strategy, staffing, technical and creative quality, and approvals within their areas.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project Ownership (Product + Campaigns)
- Own execution for:
- New product development (concept → formulation → packaging → launch)
- Marketing campaigns (sales, seasonal launches, partnerships, retail activations) and assigned cross-functional business initiatives, including channel launches and operational implementations
- Proactively manage projects end-to-end, identifying risks early and escalating when necessary with clear solutions
- Secure owners and delivery commitments, define completion criteria, and verify acceptance by the receiving team. Track missed commitments through recovery and closure.
2. New Product Development (NPD) Execution
- Manage full NPD lifecycle:
- Concept and kickoff
- R&D and formulation coordination
- Packaging development
- Labeling, claims, and compliance
- Sampling, testing, and approvals
- Launch readiness
- Ensure all SKUs, variants, and components are fully scoped from the start
- Coordinate across R&D, Ops, Supply Chain, Brand, and manufacturers
3. Marketing Campaign Execution
- Manage execution of:
- Sales campaigns
- Retail launches and activations
- TV segments, influencer campaigns, and partnerships
- Ensure all assets, timelines, and deliverables are aligned across channels
- Coordinate with Social, Brand, E-commerce, and external partners
4. Structured Project Kickoff & Scope Definition
- Lead formal kickoff for every project to confirm scope, owners, dependencies, approval gates, and open decisions
- Define and validate scope during kickoff and planning:
- All SKUs
- All deliverables and assets
- All timelines and dependencies
- Validate critical scope and launch requirements with stakeholders before execution; document assumptions and assign owners and deadlines for unresolved decisions
- Identify missing SKUs or deliverables early; manage approved scope changes and communicate their effect on timing, resources, and launch readiness
5. Timeline & Critical Path Management
- Build and maintain detailed timelines in project management tools
- Manage critical path across product development and campaigns
- Track dependencies and ensure alignment across teams
- Build backward plans using realistic lead times, approval gates, and resource availability; surface conflicts early and secure recovery actions when dates are at risk
6. Retail & Launch Readiness
- Ensure products and campaigns are fully launch-ready across:
- DTC, including website and app
- Retail and marketplaces, including Amazon and TikTok Shop
- Media
- Confirm all requirements are completed before launch:
- Packaging, labeling, compliance
- Assets and approvals
- Operational readiness
7. Risk Management & Proactive Problem Solving
- Identify risks early across all projects
- Communicate issues before deadlines are impacted
- Present solutions and recovery plans with accountable owners, revised dates, tradeoffs, and decisions required; escalate unresolved conflicts to the Senior Director of Operations
- Prevent execution breakdowns and last-minute scrambling
8. Execution Accuracy & Attention to Detail
- Ensure accuracy in:
- Dates and timelines
- Asset naming and organization
- Campaign details and logistics
- Product scope and SKUs
- Validate critical information, document assumptions and decisions, and resolve uncertainty proactively
9. Asset & Deliverable Coordination
- Track all creative and product assets (video, photo, copy, packaging)
- Verify completion through receiving-team acceptance, documented approvals, and launch-day checks. Confirm approved assets, listings, offers, links, and campaign components are implemented correctly across applicable channels. Track outstanding issues through resolution.
- Obtain and document signoffs from authorized functional approvers before external submissions. Track labeling, claims, and compliance review without acting as the technical or regulatory approver.
10. Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication
- Coordinate across:
- Brand & Marketing
- Social Media
- E-commerce
- Operations & Supply Chain
- External vendors and partners
- Maintain one prioritized portfolio showing owners, milestones, dependencies, resource conflicts, and status. Obtain cross-functional commitments and escalate unresolved priority conflicts with options and business impact.
- Publish weekly updates covering completed work, upcoming commitments, overdue items, risks, recovery actions, and decisions needed. Label unconfirmed dates and assign owners and deadlines to resolve them. Facilitate working meetings that secure decisions and close actions.
What Success Looks Like
- Products launch against agreed plans with documented scope, required approvals, and readiness confirmed by receiving teams
- Campaign components are approved, handed off, and activated correctly across applicable channels; issues are tracked through resolution
- Portfolio reporting is dependable; SKU scope, dates, dependencies, and completion evidence are accurate and current
- Risks are identified early and resolved proactively
- Leadership receives timely, decision-ready escalations and spends less time chasing updates or reconnecting teams
Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred; demonstrated delivery experience is essential
- 6+ years of relevant project or program management experience in fast-paced environments
- Required: Personally managed physical consumer products through development and launch, including formulation or R&D, packaging, testing, production, and commercialization dependencies
- Required: Managed integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Beauty or personal care experience preferred; relevant physical consumer product launch experience in CPG required.
- Strong cross-functional leadership across Brand, Operations, Supply Chain, and external partners
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (Monday.com preferred) and Excel; demonstrated ability to recover slipping projects and manage concurrent initiatives in a lean organization
Core Competencies
- End-to-End Ownership: Drives projects from concept to completion
- Process Discipline: Applies structured methodologies consistently
- Attention to Detail: Catches what others miss
- Proactive Communication: Flags risks early and clearly
- Execution Excellence: Personally drives work through completion, verifies implementation, and delivers without constant follow-up
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Secures commitments, challenges missed deadlines, resolves blockers, and escalates decisions with options
Non-Negotiables
- Validate critical information and document assumptions
- Review relevant requirements, resolve open questions proactively, and escalate uncertainty that threatens delivery
- Use kickoff to confirm scope, owners, dependencies, and open decisions; update plans as approved priorities or scope change
- Deadlines are proactively managed, not reacted to
- Verify accuracy at handoffs and launch checkpoints; maintain an auditable record of approvals and completion
Why This Role Matters
As Bask & Lather continues to scale, execution quality across both product development and marketing campaigns is critical. This role enables teams to move quickly through reliable plans, clear accountability, verified handoffs, and timely decisions. Conduct post-launch retrospectives and implement corrective actions. Routine copy review, social scheduling, and departmental production remain with functional teams so this role can focus on cross-functional delivery.
