You'll partner with project managers and other teams throughout Parametrix to provide financial guidance, monitor project performance, and support sound business decisions.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with an expectation of working from our Puyallup office approximately two days per week for collaboration and team engagement.
Your Role on the Team:

- Financial Oversight: Serve as a key financial checkpoint in the project approval process, ensuring projects meet internal accounting requirements and established financial controls.
- Project Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze project financial reports, monitor budgets, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to project managers and leadership.
- Billing & Invoicing: Manage a high volume of project billing activities, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with client contracts and project requirements.
- Accounts Receivable & Collections: Monitor outstanding receivables, support collection efforts, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Budget Management: Establish and maintain project budgets, monitor financial performance, and assist project teams with budget adjustments and forecasting.
- Project Closeout: Coordinate financial closeout activities, ensuring final billing, collections, and project accounting records are completed accurately.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with project managers, technical teams, and Finance colleagues to address financial questions, resolve issues, and support successful project delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, billing efficiency, and financial controls.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 3+ years of project accounting experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry.
- Experience managing project financials, including project setup, budgeting, billing, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting principles, financial controls, and revenue recognition.
- Experience reviewing project financial performance, analyzing budget variances, and communicating financial information to project managers.
- Proficiency with project accounting or ERP systems; experience with BST is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial reports and large amounts of data.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with project teams.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
