About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading international offshore energy company delivering large-scale floating production and deepwater infrastructure projects across the globe. Operating throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept development and engineering through construction, installation and operations, the organization is recognized for its technical excellence, operational reliability and commitment to supporting the evolving energy sector.
To support the successful execution of a long-term offshore project, our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Process & Rotating Packages to take ownership of complex package management activities within a multidisciplinary project environment.
This position is ideally suited for a seasoned Project Engineer or Package Manager with extensive Oil & Gas experience and a proven track record managing vendor packages, engineering deliverables, procurement interfaces and project execution activities. Candidates with a purely core engineering background, without substantial project engineering or package management experience, will not be considered.
The role:
As Senior Project Engineer – Process & Rotating Packages, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major offshore projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all technical, commercial and administrative activities relating to Process and Rotating Equipment packages throughout the project lifecycle.
Acting as the focal point between engineering disciplines, procurement teams, suppliers, package vendors, construction teams and project management, you will ensure package delivery meets project requirements relating to schedule, cost, quality and safety.
You will proactively drive package execution, identify and mitigate risks, manage interfaces across stakeholders and ensure all project objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
- Lead the execution and delivery of Process and Rotating Equipment packages throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage package execution plans, schedules and deliverables in line with project objectives.
- Coordinate all interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Package Vendors and Construction teams.
- Monitor package progress and performance, ensuring milestones are achieved within budget and schedule constraints.
- Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility reviews and risk assessments to support project decision-making.
- Identify project risks and deviations and implement effective mitigation and corrective action plans.
- Review vendor documentation and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage supplier and contractor performance throughout package execution.
- Support commercial and contractual activities including change management and subcontractor coordination.
- Act as a key interface between project stakeholders, suppliers, contractors and client representatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, quality standards and HSE requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior project engineers within the project team.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to successful project delivery objectives.
What are we looking for?
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of Project Engineering, Project Management or Package Management experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience managing Process and Rotating Equipment packages on large EPC, offshore or energy projects.
- Strong understanding of package execution, procurement processes and vendor management.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams in complex international environments.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and technical interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies, risk management and commercial processes.
- Experience working on projects within Europe is required.
- Proficiency with project management systems, scheduling tools and reporting platforms.
