Now part of Expedia Group B2B, CarTrawler is entering an exciting new chapter, bringing together our deep expertise in car rental, ground transportation and insurtech with Expedia Group’s global scale, technology and extensive travel platform.

The P&T Senior Project Manager will lead, create and maintain multiple complex project plans for projects undertaken by the P&T teams through collaboration and shared ways of working. They will use these plans, project management best practice and leadership expertise to drive, collaboration and quality outcomes across P&T teams and the wider business to ensure delivery of the project in scope, on time and within budget. They will strive to identify issues before they arise, putting mitigation steps in place and within the plan and ensuring full buy in across all the responsible teams.

What you will do as a Senior Project Manager:

Core Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead, plan and manage complex projects from ideation through to delivery.
  • Develop and own project plans including significant milestones and deliverables ensuring resource availability and allocation. Resolving issues as they arise or getting ahead of them with mitigation
  • Manage multiple complex projects concurrently, with a wide range of project stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment by communicating project status, milestones and deliverables to project stakeholders distilling complexity into simple and concise updates with regular transparency provided to all stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project plan and project costs using the appropriate project management approach and in a timely manner.
  • Proactively manage expectations of project stakeholders through understanding the different needs of stakeholders based on their role and influence on the project.
  • Responsible for influencing the overall project strategies and their impact on P&T.
  • Actively manage project risks through a transparent communication style and a promotion of trust and competency. Putting mitigation actions in place to minimise risk.
  • Maintain the internal project management tool.
  • Strategic Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within P&T and the wider business, building and maintaining consensus on the project plan and approach through the project to deliver quality outcomes in line with the plan.
    • Support and contribute to the project intake process from ideation through to planning and delivery.
    • Foster trust, openness and collaborative relationships with your colleagues.
    • Support junior members of the team through coaching and mentoring.
    • Champion and lead Continuous improvement in our ways of working and in our intake and project management processes.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 10+ years’ project management experience, ideally within a technology/software environment.
  • Extensive experience leading multiple complex technology projects end-to-end, working across Product, Engineering and wider business teams. Proven experience managing project plans, scope, dependencies, risks, resources and budgets, while influencing senior stakeholders and driving delivery in ambiguous, fast-paced environmentsStrong project management capability; formal PM qualification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile and project delivery methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems and work independently with high accountability.
  • Recognised Project Management qualification/certification preferred (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    Hybrid Working & Eligibility: Our hybrid working policy requires employees to work onsite at our CarTrawler Dublin office a minimum of 2 days per week.
