Description

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Take water treatment plants from first plan to first water

Department: Engineering | Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid) | Travel: 15-20%

Seven Seas Water Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of the water treatment plants we design, build, own, and operate. You'll take projects from capital upgrades on existing plants to full turnkey EPC builds of seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis (SWRO/BWRO) facilities, and you'll be the person accountable for bringing each one in on schedule and on budget. This is a hybrid role based in our Tampa office (three days a week in the office), with 15-20% travel across the U.S. and Caribbean.

Who we are

Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) delivers more than 20 billion gallons of water a year to industrial, governmental, municipal, and hospitality customers across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. Through our Water-as-a-Service® (WaaS®) model, we design, build, own, and operate more than 200 water and wastewater treatment plants, taking on the capital and operational risk so our customers don't have to. SSWG is a portfolio company of EQT, a global investment firm with more than three decades of experience building essential infrastructure.

What you'll own

You'll own each project from the Project Execution Plan forward: scope, schedule, cost, design, procurement, resources, quality, and risk. You'll set the scope of work for internal teams and outside engineering firms, keep design deliverables issuing on time, and manage every change through disciplined change order control. You'll build the procurement plan too, competitively bidding equipment, weighing make vs. buy, and writing purchase orders clear enough to head off change orders before they start.

Quality and delivery run through you. You'll set up Inspection & Test Plans, visit supplier shops when production needs a push, and spend time on site during construction keeping contractors on schedule. You'll give final review and approval on project deliverables, direct mechanical designers and project staff, and contribute to HAZOP, EHS, and operating procedure reviews for every new plant.

You'll also be a trusted voice beyond your own projects. You'll give senior management a clear, honest monthly read on project health, flag risk early, and help Business Development build execution plans and schedules for the plants we're proposing next. Working alongside Engineering, Finance, and Operations, you'll help shape how SSWG delivers projects, not just deliver them.

Requirements

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical preferred

• 8+ years of project engineering or project management experience, including leading projects from execution planning through commissioning

• 5+ years in the water treatment industry; membrane-based treatment experience strongly preferred, SWRO experience highly preferred

• A track record managing project budgets of $5 million or more

• Expert ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and GA drawings, and to direct design personnel

• Strong command of Microsoft Project, Office, and Teams, plus experience working projects through an ERP system

• Clear, confident communication, from the field to the executive team, including building your own data-driven PowerPoint reporting

• Based in the Tampa area, able to work a hybrid schedule and travel 15-20%

• PMP certification is a plus

We're looking for someone who leads with transparency, reports schedule and cost honestly up and down the organization, and is as comfortable in front of a client as on a construction site.

Why this role

You'll lead projects that put reliable drinking water into communities across the U.S. and Caribbean, with the authority to run them your way and real visibility with senior leadership. If you want your next role to carry more scope and more influence over how a growing water infrastructure company builds, this is that seat.
