Senior Project Manager

About the role

Rumor is a venture studio that builds and partners with agencies, startups and Fortune 500 companies across North America and Europe. Our team works across North America, LATAM, Europe and India. We are hiring a Senior Project Manager to own delivery on our primary projects and ventures across multiple departments, then bring the same rigour to our secondary projects.

This is not a ticket-shuffling role. We want a proactive, Type A operator with a founder mentality: someone who sees what is missing before anyone asks, takes ownership of the outcome, and does not wait for permission to fix a problem.

What you will do

Own delivery

• Act as the CEO's right hand on our primary projects: the person who knows the status of everything and makes sure it gets done.

• Run both programmes from planning to launch, keeping scope, timeline, budget and quality on track across every stage.

• Coordinate internal designers, developers and partners so work moves in the right sequence without blocking anyone.

• Spot risks and delays early, solve them, and escalate only with a clear recommendation.

Quality and testing

• QA everything before it reaches the client: websites, mobile apps, forms, booking flows, email flows and integrations.

• Test across devices and browsers, check responsiveness, validate routing and automation logic, and track bugs through to resolution.

• Hold every partner to the same standard. Nothing ships until it works.

Communicate

• Be the go-to person for both the client and Rumor, with clear communication channels across every department.

• Write clear status updates, weekly reports, meeting notes, scope documents and decision logs that a non-technical executive can read in two minutes.

• Keep everyone aligned on what is decided, what is next and who owns it.

Build process and bring ideas

• Set up the project management system, QA checklists, release process and reporting rhythm, then keep improving them.

• Bring ideas to the table on product, growth and operations, not just execution.

• Run our secondary projects and ventures as the portfolio grows, applying the same playbook.

Who you are

• Type A and proactive. You are organised, driven and uncomfortable leaving things unfinished. You follow up without being reminded.

• Founder mentality. You treat the work as your own, make decisions with incomplete information, and get things done.

• An exceptional writer and communicator. Your emails, updates and documents are clear, concise and well structured. This is mandatory.

• Detail-oriented. You catch the broken link, the misaligned button and the missing edge case.

• Calm under pressure. You manage multiple projects and competing priorities without dropping anything.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of project management experience on complex web and app projects, in a venture studio, agency or product team.

• Mandatory: experience delivering for international clients across time zones.

• Mandatory: amazing written and verbal communication in English.

• Technically sound: you understand how high-end websites and apps are built, can read a technical spec, discuss architecture with developers and catch problems before they ship. Comfortable with any technology or stack.

• Proven shipping record: high-end, performance-optimised websites and apps that are live and you can show us.

• Command of top tools and processes: Slack, Figma, Linear, GitHub and similar, plus staging and release workflows and performance tooling such as Lighthouse.

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, Agile and Scrum.

• Hands-on QA experience: web and mobile testing, responsive and cross-browser checks, bug tracking and acceptance testing.

• Proven experience with senior, non-technical stakeholders, external agencies and distributed teams.

Hours and availability

Your day starts between 3:00 and 4:00 pm IST and runs through European business hours into the Los Angeles morning, so you overlap with our partners in Europe and our leadership in LA.

Flexible availability is expected when launches, partner meetings or urgent issues require it.

Bonus

• Experience in healthcare, medtech or other regulated industries, including GDPR.

• Experience with WordPress and React.

• A track record of building QA processes and delivery workflows from scratch.

• Familiarity with technical documentation and release management.
