Are you looking for an inspiring career? You just found it.

With a passion for life

At Getinge, we exist to make lifesaving technology accessible to more people. To continue delivering complex hospital solutions that improve healthcare worldwide, we are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Nordic Project Management organization in Sweden.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned project leader to take ownership of large and technically advanced customer projects, often involving construction, installation, and hospital infrastructure environments. You will work closely with customers, contractors, suppliers, technical experts, and commercial teams while playing a key role in ensuring successful project delivery and contributing to the continued development of our project management function.

About the Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead and deliver large-scale projects from contract signing through installation, commissioning, and final handover to the customer.

Our projects often involve complex technical solutions within healthcare environments, including operating rooms, sterile processing departments, and other critical hospital infrastructure. Project values typically range from 30–50 MSEK, although project scope may vary.

Many projects involve extensive site coordination, construction-related activities, installation management, contractor supervision, and close collaboration with hospital stakeholders in highly regulated environments.

You will act as the central point of coordination between customers, internal stakeholders, contractors, and external suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.

What You Will Do

As Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead customer projects from contract award through final delivery
  • Take full responsibility for project scope, timeline, budget, quality, and risk management
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Application Specialists, Service Engineers, and Back Office functions
  • Manage external contractors, consultants, installers, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact during project execution
  • Ensure successful planning and execution of design, manufacturing, logistics, construction, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, changes, and deviations
  • Drive collaboration between stakeholders to secure successful project outcomes
  • Lead project governance activities and provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders

This position is based in the Stockholm region and follows a hybrid working model.

Travel is required as part of the role, primarily related to customer projects and site activities across Sweden.

Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced and structured project leader who combines strong leadership capabilities with a practical, hands-on approach. You are comfortable managing large-scale and technically complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers. You understand how to balance strategic planning with operational execution and thrive in customer-facing environments where ownership, accountability, and collaboration are key to success.

To succeed in this role, you have excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build trust with customers, colleagues, and external partners. You are confident navigating both boardroom discussions and construction or installation sites.

Requirements

We believe you bring:

  • A university degree, preferably within Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or another relevant technical discipline
  • At least 7 years of project management experience, including responsibility for large-scale and complex project deliveries
  • Extensive experience leading construction, installation, fit-out, infrastructure, industrial, or other technically complex projects
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple phases such as design, procurement, production, logistics, construction, installation, and commissioning
  • Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers in project environments
  • A solid technical understanding and ability to work closely with technical teams and stakeholders
  • Experience managing project finances, timelines, contracts, and quality delivery
  • Strong risk management and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English

Meritorious Experience

Experience from one or more of the following areas is considered highly valuable:

  • Hospital construction projects or healthcare facility infrastructure projects
  • Construction management, technical building systems, or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) project delivery
  • Supplier-led project delivery environments
  • CapEx projects
  • Customer-specific or configure-to-order project deliveries
  • Industrial equipment, MedTech, manufacturing, automation, or technical construction projects
  • Large-scale customer implementation projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating contractors, installers, consultants, and multiple subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or critical infrastructure

At Getinge, we see ourselves as proactive and self-driven in learning and contributing to the continued development of our products and our organization's capabilities. We are Team Players, Forward Thinkers and Game Changers.

We think you will thrive in a high-expectation environment and have an interest in our products and the positive impact they have on healthcare globally.
