CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own design from programming and concept development through construction, closeout, and turnover.
  • Set and coordinate design milestones with the overall project schedule; identify and resolve design, technical, code, ADA, and constructability issues.
  • Direct multidisciplinary design consultants, manage key vendors, and resolve coordination conflicts and significant field issues.
  • Lead design presentations and advise senior stakeholders; make significant design and project recommendations that balance requirements, budget, schedule, and FF&E costs.
  • Lead design-related construction administration, including review of submittals, RFIs, change orders, field conditions, punch lists, and supplemental drawings.
  • Establish project requirements, evaluate solutions, contribute to design standards and process strategy, and mentor designers and project team members.

Project Management

  • Manage projects from inception through completion, acting autonomously and in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Create and orchestrate project teams; manage stakeholders; support consultant selection and onboarding; delegate to external contractors; and coordinate field verification.
  • Partner on procurement activities, including RFQ and RFP advisory, contract review, and work/change order review and approval.
  • Oversee project budgets, commitments, purchase orders, ProCard activity, change orders, financial packages, executive approvals, and FAR circulation in Minto format via Fiori.
  • Develop and manage integrated schedules, communication plans, executive communications, logistics plans, and overarching budget and schedule reporting.
  • Coordinate project closeout, including financial reconciliation, post-project evaluation, client surveys, and collection of manuals, CAD drawings, warranties, and other closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate graphics and signage requirements with applicable Corporate Communications, D&I, and CSR guidelines, and manage signage vendors when required.

Leadership & Development

  • Coach and mentor team members through project work, share subject matter expertise, and provide design and project leadership.
  • Participate in ongoing learning, development, project shadowing, and mentorship activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, project management, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of senior project management experience and 10+ years of specialized design and/or architecture experience.
  • Registered Architect, AIA, Certified Interior Designer, and/or NCIDQ credential preferred; sustainability credentials such as LEED AP or WELL are a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design processes, workplace programming, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, building codes, and ADA requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex, highly visible, or strategically important projects with minimal oversight and present recommendations to senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, procurement, consultant and contractor management, stakeholder communications, and project closeout.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, pricing sets, submittals, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and field documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam required. Revit experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture, finish and building material selection, signage, graphics, art coordination, and furniture specifications is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in entertainment, corporate facilities, real estate, design, architecture, and/or construction environments is a plus.
