Role description:
Arcadis Construction Service (ACS) is seeking a Senior Project Manager with sediment remediation experience for our construction team. The best candidate will have at least 10+ years of experience working on environmental remediation projects with a focus on sediment/marine projects.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who is comfortable handling multiple complex construction projects from preconstruction and planning through implementation. Developing and maintaining strong client relationships is key to this role.
The successful candidate should expect 50% travel within the United States to visit project sites and clients.
Role accountabilities:
The Senior Project Manager will manage multiple design and construction projects on behalf of our clients for a variety of projects ranging from smaller mechanical sediment removal projects through larger projects including hydraulic/mechanical removal, material processing, water treatment, and restoration. The successful candidate will prepare and manage cost estimates and proposals for sediment and environmental remediation projects, with knowledge of developing self-perform estimates as well as working with specialty subcontractors to develop winning proposals.
In this role, you will participate in the project design process and provide constructability review to ensure the client’s needs are met within the proposed budget and schedule. You will assist in the development of the planning/execution program, provide value engineering reviews, and support other project components as needed to assure a successful outcome.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in organizing and/or leading pre-construction meetings, participating in weekly construction meetings, visiting project sites to monitor construction progress, processing ASIs/RFIs, reviewing and processing Contractor and A/E pay applications, reviewing and negotiating change order requests, preparing contract amendments, preparing monthly project status reports, monitoring project schedules, budgets, and risk management activities, maintaining document control files, and supporting general project close-out activities.
The selected candidate will provide monthly budget reports documenting completion status and progress to date. They will establish and maintain cost baselines and schedule updates against which program trends are measured and forecasted, provide cost information to facilitate timely and informed decisions, and manage and oversee all change orders.
As a key member of the team, the Senior Project Manager will be an active, positive team member who can build positive relationships within internal and external Teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of Project Manager experience in the environmental construction industry.
- Must have experience working on projects throughout the US
- Able to work on and oversee multiple projects. The successful candidate will be required to go to project sites.
- Professional accreditation in a relevant discipline (Construction Management, Cert. Construction Administrator, Cert. Construction Manager) or related project experience
- Strong technical skills related to cost estimating and scheduling software
- 40 hour hazwoper training
- Commitment to Health and Safety
- Valid Driver’s License

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
