About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to work for our client within the Pensions sector. This is initially a contract until the end of 2027 with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Glasgow or Cheshire, with regular travel to the Edinburgh office.
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join a growing annuities programme, managing the onboarding of multiple pension schemes within an agile, squad-based team. This is a fast-paced role where the ability to juggle multiple deliveries at once is key.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding of multiple pension schemes in parallel, from initiation through to go-live
- Coordinate deliverables across multiple agile squads, implementation managers, the business and an external delivery partner, including features, calculations and data
- Track timelines, dependencies, risks and issues across your schemes, knowing when to resolve and when to escalate
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, getting buy-in and bringing those less familiar with agile ways of working on the journey
- Work collaboratively with fellow PMs to prioritise shared resources, understand the bigger picture and step in to support other schemes on the critical path.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within financial services, across technical and/or business change
- Track record of managing multiple projects or initiatives at the same time, rather than a single large delivery
- Experience working in an agile, squad-based delivery environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with third-party suppliers
- Assertive and proactive but collaborative, able to keep a cool head under pressure and take a creative approach to problem solving
- Pensions, annuities or BPA knowledge is advantageous but not essential
