About the Nuclear Project Management & Commercial Management (PMCM) team
Nuclear projects are complex, highly regulated and dependent on many organisations working effectively together. Our PMCM team helps clients bring structure to that complexity. We:
- Shape programme strategies, delivery models and organisations from the earliest stages;
- Mobilise the governance, controls, commercial arrangements and capabilities needed for successful delivery;
- Translate strategic objectives into clear, integrated and deliverable plans;
- Bring clients, technical teams, suppliers and delivery partners together around shared outcomes;
- Anticipate delivery risks, unblock complex challenges and support confident decisions; and
- Embed lasting capability, stronger ways of working and continuous improvement within client organisations.
Senior Project Manager - Nuclear, Egis UK
Location: UK-wide, Type: Full-time
About the role
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead complex workstreams on one of the UK’s most significant new nuclear programmes. This is a senior delivery role for someone who can turn strategic objectives into executable plans, establish control in a fast-moving environment and give clients confidence that commitments will be met.
You will provide visible leadership across scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality and commercial performance, leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and construction. Working with senior clients, technical specialists, delivery partners and suppliers, you will oversee the fabrication, assembly, testing, quality assurance and delivery of modular components, align teams around key programme milestones and ensure work is delivered safely, to specification, on schedule and within budget.
What you’ll do
- Own the end-to-end delivery of complex project workstreams, translating client objectives into clear scope, plans, milestones and accountabilities.
- Establish and maintain integrated schedules, budgets, resource plans and performance baselines, using evidence to forecast outcomes and drive action.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage interfaces across engineering, commercial, supply chain, assurance and wider programme functions.
- Own project risk, opportunity, change and dependency management, intervening early to protect critical outcomes.
- Provide concise, decision-ready reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums, with clear recommendations and recovery actions where required.
- Manage suppliers and delivery partners against contractual commitments, resolving performance issues and maintaining constructive commercial relationships.
- Champion a strong culture of safety, quality, collaboration and continuous improvement across the project.
We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have substantial experience leading major projects or complex workstreams in nuclear, energy, infrastructure or another highly regulated environment, ideally in a client-side, advisory or programme leadership capacity.
- You can demonstrate strong command of scope, schedule, cost, risk, change, governance and performance reporting.
- You are an assured leader who can create clarity, set expectations and bring multidisciplinary teams together around shared outcomes.
- You have the judgement and credibility to influence senior clients, challenge constructively and communicate complex issues in a clear, decision-focused way.
- You understand commercial and supplier management and can balance delivery priorities with contractual, safety, quality and regulatory obligations.
- You hold a relevant degree, technical qualification or equivalent professional experience, together with a recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ or PMI equivalent. ChPP or comparable professional registration would be advantageous.
- You have the right to work in the UK.
What’s in it for you…
- Lead work that will shape a nationally significant new nuclear programme and the UK’s future energy infrastructure.
- Take real ownership of complex delivery challenges, with access to senior clients, specialists and decision-makers.
- Join a growing nuclear business where you can shape our project management capability, influence how we work and develop your career.
- Benefit from a competitive rewards package and flexible hybrid working arrangements.
We are committed to our planet
