THE ROLE
AG1 is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager, Operations to join our growing Innovation & Portfolio Management team for a 6 - Month Contract. This role is critical to shaping and executing AG1's new product innovation pipeline — from early-stage concept development through formulation, testing, and launch. Reporting directly to the VP, Innovation & Portfolio Management, you will manage the execution of end-to-end development of new products and product line extensions, partnering closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory to bring science-backed innovations to life.
In this role, you will own project timelines and scope for assigned initiatives within the innovation portfolio, drive stage-gate development processes, and ensure that new products meet AG1's standards for quality, efficacy, and time-to-market. Your ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution will play a pivotal role in AG1's continued success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead end-to-end product development execution for new products and line extensions, from ideation and concept through formulation, testing, and commercial launch.
- Manage the innovation portfolio's stage-gate process, ensuring projects move through development milestones on time and within scope.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to align on product specifications, timelines, and launch readiness.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate risks across the development pipeline, proactively flagging bottlenecks, cost, or timeline issues, and delays.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana, google sheets) to track tasks, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent development projects.
- Serve as a key point of contact for product development updates, keeping leadership and cross-functional stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Support the VP, Innovation & Portfolio Management in shaping and prioritizing the broader innovation roadmap and portfolio strategy.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management and owning projects that include product development, innovation, or portfolio management, ideally within CPG, food and beverage, supplements, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including formulation, sourcing, regulatory, quality, and go-to-market processes.
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent development projects, with a track record of hitting key milestones and launch dates.
- Expertise in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Asana), with stage-gate or similar innovation process experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate consumer insights and data into product decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and competing priorities.
- Passion for health, wellness, and nutrition, and alignment with AG1's mission and values.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
- Competitive compensation and performance-based incentive plans.
- A 100% remote working environment (excluding Laboratory positions), which has been implemented from day one.
- A strong company culture that is enforced through the hiring process to ensure values alignment and a highly collaborative team.
- A mission-driven approach to everything that we do, with an overall goal to significantly improve our customers’ health and wellness.
- A high-growth, dynamic environment with opportunities for your direct impact to be felt.
- In-person team meetups for optimal collaboration, team building and accelerating productivity.
- A work environment and culture that is based on high performance, productivity and continuous improvement.
- The opportunity to work with passionate, high-growth, business-minded colleagues who bring their all to our mission each and every day.
- Access to AG1 products and branded swag.
