Are you a seasoned proposal professional who thrives on turning complex technical requirements into winning, compliant bids for engineered water solutions? Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.
As our new Senior Project Proposal Engineer, IND, you'll be managing and coordinating end-to-end proposal efforts for complex projects — from Bid/No Bid decisions through submission and negotiation — that help Grundfos deliver engineered-to-order solutions to customers across India. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

As a key part of the Industry Project Proposals team, you'll create impact by leading the development of technically excellent, commercially competitive proposals that win strategic projects and strengthen Grundfos's position in the industrial water market.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead the preparation of winning proposals for complex projects in line with Grundfos processes.
- Develop optimized technical and commercial solutions, including BOMs, costing, pricing, GA drawings, and 2D/3D designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, CSU, SCM, Product Management, Application Specialists, suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliant, accurate, and on-time tender submissions.
- Build technical and commercial proposals by interpreting client requirements, contractual terms, and specifications.
- Develop project cost models and manage inputs from suppliers and subcontractors during the tender phase.
- Drive proposal governance, internal reviews, and continuous process improvements.
- Support pre-qualification activities and customer negotiations alongside sales and management teams.
- Contribute to preliminary project execution planning, including scope, budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies.
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you're a subject matter expert in estimation and proposal management with a strong technical background in engineered-to-order solutions, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to bridge commercial and technical teams to deliver winning bids. We'd also imagine that you are/have:
- 15+ years of experience in proposal engineering, estimation, quotation management, or solution selling within an Engineered-to-Order business.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong experience in pump systems, skid design, pipe sizing, P&IDs, and fluid characteristics.
- Knowledge of Water Treatment, HVAC, ETP, and STP applications.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D/3D modelling, SAP (R3/CRM/BW), and Microsoft Office.
It's a plus if you also:
- Exposure to project management
- Industry experience within the water or pump technology sector
- Track record of driving process improvements within a proposal or bid management function
Why you'll love working here
- Flexible and hybrid working opportunities.
- Supportive and inclusive culture focused on employee well-being and development.
- Three additional paid volunteering days each year.
