Senior QA Engineer

You’ll be joining a global SaaS company specializing in marketing technology and customer engagement solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that cloud-based products meet high standards of functionality, usability, security, and reliability.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will own the quality strategy for one or more product areas and work closely with Software Engineering and Product teams to build reliable, scalable automated testing solutions. You will have a strong influence on the automation strategy, test frameworks, quality standards, and release readiness.

This is a hands-on role combining test automation, API testing, CI/CD, AWS and modern Agile practices. You will also have the opportunity to mentor other engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA practices across the organization.

• Own and evolve the test strategy for your product area, defining appropriate test coverage and automation priorities
• Design, develop and maintain automated tests at different levels of the testing pyramid using Java
• Design and extend test automation frameworks, focusing on reliability, execution speed and maintainability
• Establish and maintain quality standards, review test code and reduce flaky tests and technical debt
• Analyze automated test results, identify product defects versus framework issues and drive issues to resolution
• Develop and maintain API test automation using RestAssured, JUnit and Spring Boot
• Work with engineering and product teams to define testable requirements, acceptance criteria and test specifications
• Design test solutions for AWS-based services, including Lambda and S3
• Integrate automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines
• Support exploratory and manual testing when appropriate
• Mentor and support other QA and engineering team members
• Provide clear reporting on quality, test coverage and release readiness
• Promote quality assurance practices and contribute to the wider QA community

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation using Java
• Strong experience with API test automation, particularly RestAssured, JUnit and Spring Boot
• Experience designing or significantly extending test automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of web applications and modern software development practices
• Good knowledge of Git and GitHub
• Strong clean-code practices and experience reviewing code
• Working knowledge of Docker
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including automated quality gates
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based environments
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile engineering teams
• Experience mentoring or technically supporting other engineers
• Good understanding that software quality is a shared responsibility across the engineering team
• Strong written and spoken English

  Nice to have

• Experience with Generative AI in QA, including AI-assisted test design, test data generation, failure analysis or test maintenance
• Experience testing LLM-powered features, including non-deterministic outputs, regression evaluation, hallucination and safety checks
• Experience with GraphQL and/or Snowflake
• Experience in performance, security or accessibility testing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field

• Salary: 15000–18000 PLN gross + PKUP
