About The Opportunity

Our federal public sector client is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Tester to support the release of a new records management application built on Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Online. You will plan and run tests, validate Protected B access controls, track defects and support user acceptance testing through release and stabilisation. This is a fully remote, full-time contract.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Review business rules, user flows, known issues and release priorities to plan testing
  • Prepare and execute test cases for records declaration, search, linking, viewing, metadata, navigation and user-facing functions
  • Test Power Apps screens, Power Automate flows, SharePoint lists, libraries, views, metadata and permissions
  • Validate Protected B access controls so users can reach only authorised records, repositories, views and functions
  • Record, classify and track defects; retest fixes and confirm resolution
  • Support user acceptance testing: prepare scenarios, record findings, consolidate feedback and identify recurring issues
  • Report testing observations and issue summaries to support release readiness

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • At least 2 years (within the last 4 years) performing QA, UAT support, defect validation or release testing for Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 or similar enterprise applications
  • At least 1 year (within the last 4 years) testing SharePoint Online lists, libraries, metadata, views, forms, search or document workflows
  • At least 1 year (within the last 4 years) testing permissions, role-based access, security groups or need-to-know access behaviour
  • At least 2 years (within the last 4 years) recording, classifying, tracking, retesting and validating defects
  • At least 1 year (within the last 4 years) doing QA or UAT in a public-sector, protected, regulated or restricted-access environment
  • Ability to independently review requirements and workflows, design test scenarios and find issues beyond pre-written test scripts
  • Advanced English (oral, comprehension and written)
  • Valid Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance
