Senior Quality Engineer - Test Automation & Financial Systems

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to build and drive our testing strategy for a financial software platform. This role focuses on test automation, financial correctness, and end-to-end system reliability - not traditional manual QA or repetitive regression testing.You'll work closely with engineers and domain specialists to ensure complex financial workflows behave correctly, remain reliable as the product evolves, and are covered by effective automated tests.

What you'll do:
● Design, build, and maintain automated tests, including E2E, API, integration, and regression tests, working closely with the engineering team.
● Validate complex business logic and financial calculations, ensuring correctness, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
● Test complete business workflows across frontend, backend services, and data layers, identifying integration issues, edge cases, and unexpected behavior.
● Develop performance and load tests, identify bottlenecks, and help engineers establish reliability and performance baselines.
● Drive quality improvements across the development lifecycle, identifying gaps between requirements and implementation, refining acceptance criteria with domain specialists, and improving test coverage and CI/CD integration.

What we're looking for:
● Strong experience in test automation and software engineering, including writing maintainable, production-quality test code.
● Hands-on experience with E2E testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright), API testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
● Ability to understand complex business logic, translate requirements into test scenarios, and independently validate expected results.
● Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., k6) and debugging issues across distributed systems.
● A pragmatic, engineering-driven approach to quality, with strong analytical skills,
attention to detail, and a sense of ownership.

Nice to have:

●Experience testing complex financial or data-intensive systems, PostgreSQL,
contract testing, or AI-powered testing tools.

You'll collaborate with backend and frontend engineers, product owners, and financial domain specialists. Developers remain responsible for the quality of their own code, while you'll take ownership of cross-system validation, testing practices, and automated quality assurance. Familiarity with AI coding agents and AI-assisted testing workflows is expected. The goal is to build a fast, reliable, and scalable quality process that supports rapid product development without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Work Model: Mostly remote, with a preferred office presence in Warsaw once a month.

Contract Type: B2B contract.

Time Off: 22 days of paid time off per year.
