Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor role at Kuwait Flour Mills & Bakeries Co. is a part-time, remote position focused on overseeing cost-related aspects of construction, maintenance, and capital projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), developing cost plans and budgets, monitoring project expenditures, and performing detailed cost analysis. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will prepare periodic cost reports, support cost forecasting, and advise on risk and value management. The role also involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost control, contract compliance, and timely financial documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong cost planning and cost management skills, including the ability to prepare budgets and develop cost strategies.
• Proficiency in cost control and cost reporting, with experience tracking expenditures and producing regular financial summaries.
• Experience preparing and reviewing BOQ documents and other quantity surveying deliverables.
• Relevant academic background in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in a senior quantity surveying or cost management role, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and financial data.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing clear reports and documentation.
• Familiarity with relevant contract forms, procurement processes, and basic project management practices.
