About Us

We are a construction-focused organization committed to delivering complex projects through disciplined project management, technical excellence, quality assurance, risk management, and collaborative project delivery. Our distributed teams collaborate across Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Healthcare Services, Medical Imaging, Occupational Health, Human Resources, Finance, Administration, Information Technology, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers, and Executive Leadership to maintain high standards of operational efficiency, safety, documentation, and service quality across our operations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to oversee diagnostic imaging procedures, radiographic examinations, image quality, radiation safety, equipment performance, clinical documentation, and patient care coordination. The successful candidate will provide senior-level technical expertise in medical imaging, ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards, and support the delivery of accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic imaging services.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, technical proficiency, communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety. This position requires the ability to supervise radiography personnel, optimize imaging protocols, maintain quality assurance programs, collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, and support continuous improvement in imaging services. Clinical duties must be performed at an appropriately licensed healthcare facility; any remote responsibilities would be limited to authorized activities such as image review support, reporting coordination, protocol administration, and quality management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and supervise diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with approved clinical protocols and professional standards.
  • Conduct radiographic procedures to support the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions.
  • Operate and oversee imaging equipment, including general X-ray systems, digital radiography systems, fluoroscopy equipment, mobile imaging units, and other modalities within the individual's qualifications.
  • Support computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, or other specialized imaging services where appropriately trained, licensed, and assigned.
  • Review imaging requests to confirm examination details, clinical indications, patient identity, and relevant preparation requirements.
  • Verify patient identity using approved identification procedures before every examination.
  • Assess relevant clinical history, previous imaging, contraindications, and other factors affecting examination safety.
  • Confirm that the requested examination is appropriate and refer discrepancies or clinical concerns to the responsible radiologist or physician.
  • Explain imaging procedures, positioning requirements, and expected patient experiences in clear, accessible language.
  • Obtain and document informed consent where required by the procedure and applicable policy.
  • Assess patient mobility, comfort, communication needs, and ability to cooperate with imaging instructions.
  • Adapt positioning and examination techniques to accommodate patient age, physical limitations, medical conditions, and clinical requirements.
  • Apply appropriate patient handling and transfer techniques to minimize discomfort and prevent injury.
  • Maintain patient dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and professional respect throughout all imaging procedures.
  • Provide appropriate assistance to patients with disabilities, mobility limitations, communication barriers, or additional support needs.
  • Identify situations requiring additional clinical assistance and coordinate with relevant healthcare personnel.
  • Select appropriate imaging protocols, exposure parameters, positioning techniques, and acquisition settings according to examination requirements.
  • Optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure in accordance with the ALARA principle.
  • Apply appropriate exposure factors based on patient characteristics, examination type, equipment capabilities, and diagnostic objectives.
  • Ensure images meet established criteria for anatomical coverage, positioning, contrast, sharpness, and diagnostic acceptability.
  • Review acquired images for technical quality and determine whether additional images are clinically necessary.
  • Minimize unnecessary repeat examinations by identifying and addressing positioning, exposure, processing, and workflow issues.
  • Recognize technical artifacts, image distortions, motion effects, and other factors that may compromise diagnostic interpretation.
  • Troubleshoot imaging acquisition problems and apply corrective techniques within the scope of professional practice.
  • Escalate clinically significant or unexpected findings through established clinical communication pathways without independently exceeding authorized diagnostic responsibilities.
  • Ensure images are correctly labeled, associated with the correct patient, and transferred to the appropriate clinical systems.
  • Maintain accurate and complete examination records, technical notes, patient information, and procedure documentation.
  • Ensure imaging data are securely stored, accessible to authorized personnel, and retained according to applicable requirements.
  • Operate picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), radiology information systems (RIS), and other approved digital imaging platforms.
  • Verify the accuracy of patient demographics, examination codes, accession numbers, and imaging metadata.
  • Coordinate with radiologists to support timely image availability, reporting workflows, and communication of urgent findings.
  • Assist with the prioritization of urgent, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and scheduled imaging requests.
  • Communicate relevant procedural observations and technical limitations to the appropriate clinical team.
  • Follow established escalation procedures for critical results and urgent clinical concerns.
  • Maintain strict compliance with radiation protection principles and applicable radiation safety requirements.
  • Ensure radiation protection measures are applied appropriately to patients, staff, visitors, and other individuals in controlled areas.
  • Use shielding and other protective measures when clinically appropriate and consistent with current professional guidance.
  • Verify that radiation monitoring devices are available and used in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Monitor personal dosimetry records and report unexpected exposure readings or potential radiation incidents promptly.
  • Ensure controlled-area signage, access restrictions, warning indicators, and radiation protection equipment are maintained.
  • Participate in radiation safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, radiation safety concerns, accidental exposures, and other incidents through approved channels.
  • Support investigations into radiation safety incidents and help implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable United Arab Emirates radiation protection requirements and relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks on imaging equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Coordinate equipment performance testing, calibration, maintenance, and preventive servicing with authorized technical personnel.
  • Verify that imaging systems are functioning within established performance and safety specifications before clinical use.
  • Remove or restrict the use of equipment when defects or safety concerns may compromise patient care or examination quality.
  • Maintain equipment inspection records, maintenance logs, quality control results, and service documentation.
  • Coordinate with biomedical engineering and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and minimize service interruptions.
  • Support equipment acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and clinical evaluation where required.
  • Participate in evaluations of new imaging technologies, software upgrades, and equipment replacement proposals.
  • Review imaging protocols periodically to improve diagnostic quality, radiation optimization, patient comfort, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized imaging procedures across assigned services.
  • Maintain quality assurance and quality improvement programs for radiography activities.
  • Monitor indicators such as repeat examination rates, examination turnaround times, image rejection rates, equipment downtime, and patient feedback.
  • Analyze quality trends and recommend interventions to address recurring technical or operational problems.
  • Participate in internal audits, external inspections, accreditation activities, and clinical governance reviews.
  • Prepare audit evidence, quality records, protocol documentation, incident reports, and corrective action records.
  • Ensure radiography practices align with applicable professional standards, facility policies, and accreditation requirements.
