We partner with many of the world’s leading financial institutions, from elite hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and market makers through to global investment banks, supporting highly specialist and business-critical hiring across international markets.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our established Quantitative Finance & Trading practice, working remotely from Hong Kong and in close collaboration with our teams in London and Singapore.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a highly specialised market across Hong Kong and the wider APAC region, while leveraging Anson McCade’s established global client base, including several key active accounts with significant immediate and ongoing hiring requirements.

Rather than starting from a blank sheet of paper, you will have access to existing relationships, live opportunities and an international candidate network, with the scope to deepen key accounts, develop new relationships and further build our presence across Asia.

Our coverage spans Quantitative Research and Quant Strategy, Quantitative Development, Quantitative Trading and Portfolio Management, as well as AI/ML Research and Engineering, supporting clients across systematic, semi-systematic and discretionary trading businesses.

We work with an established global client base spanning elite hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, market makers, quantitative investment businesses and leading investment banks, supporting highly specialised hiring across APAC and international markets.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for developing our Quantitative Finance & Trading business across Hong Kong and the wider Asian market, combining existing account development with new business generation.

From day one, you will be able to leverage an established global client portfolio, including key accounts with active hiring needs across APAC and internationally. A significant part of the opportunity will be identifying where these relationships can be expanded locally, developing stronger connections with regional stakeholders and increasing our penetration across existing accounts.

Alongside this, you will have the autonomy to develop new relationships and identify emerging opportunities across the hedge fund, proprietary trading, market-making and investment banking landscape.

Although based remotely in Hong Kong, you will work as part of a genuinely international team, with regular interaction and close collaboration with our Quantitative Finance & Trading team in London, as well as colleagues in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow Anson McCade’s Quantitative Finance & Trading presence across Hong Kong and the wider APAC region.
• Leverage our existing global client base and active key accounts to identify and develop regional hiring opportunities.
• Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients, building connectivity with new stakeholders, teams and business areas.
• Develop new client relationships across hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, market makers, investment banks and other quantitative investment businesses.
• Recruit across specialist quantitative, trading and AI/ML markets, supporting systematic, semi-systematic and discretionary trading businesses.
• Build relationships with high-calibre quantitative, trading, research and technology professionals across Asia and globally.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from market mapping and candidate engagement through to offer management and successful placement.
• Develop a detailed understanding of clients’ businesses, investment strategies, team structures and hiring priorities.
• Provide clients and candidates with informed market intelligence around talent, compensation, competitor activity and hiring trends.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts across additional teams, locations and skill sets.
• Work closely with our London and Singapore teams, sharing relationships, market intelligence, candidates and opportunities across regions.
• Contribute to the continued development of Anson McCade’s global Quantitative Finance & Trading practice.

What We’re Looking For

This is a senior-level opportunity for an established recruitment or executive search professional who understands how to develop sophisticated client relationships and operate credibly within highly specialised financial markets.

Essential requirements include:

• 10+ years’ overall professional experience, with the maturity and commercial credibility to engage senior clients and candidates.
• 5+ years’ relevant recruitment or executive search experience within Quantitative Finance, Trading, Capital Markets or a closely related specialist financial market.
• Strong experience within a recruitment agency, executive search firm or consultancy environment.
• A proven track record of business development, account management and revenue generation.
• Strong understanding of the quantitative finance and trading ecosystem, ideally across areas such as Quant Research/Strategy, Quant Development, Quant Trading, Portfolio Management or AI/ML.
• An established professional network within the Hong Kong and/or wider Asian financial markets.
• The ability to develop both new and existing client relationships, identifying opportunities to broaden and deepen key accounts.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-management skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to understand clients’ businesses beyond individual vacancies.
• A self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to operate autonomously in Hong Kong while working closely with international colleagues.
• Currently based in Hong Kong with the existing right to work from Hong Kong.
