Senior Regulatory Food Specialist

Role Description The Owner will oversee the strategic direction, operations, and growth of Apply with mentors in a part-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining service offerings, refining the mentorship and AI platform strategy, and ensuring high-quality support for applicants. The role involves managing mentor relationships, setting standards for guidance and feedback, and monitoring user satisfaction and outcomes. The Owner will also handle core business functions such as budgeting, performance tracking, and process improvements. Additional tasks may include collaborating on marketing initiatives, building partnerships with academic institutions or communities, and identifying new features or services to enhance the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in academic advising, mentoring, or admissions support, with the ability to guide applicants on CVs, motivation letters, statements of purpose, and program selection.
• Background in education, higher education administration, or a related academic field, ideally with familiarity in international application processes.
• Strong business and operational skills, including strategic planning, basic budgeting, and process optimization for a growing online service.
• Comfort with digital tools, AI-driven platforms, and remote collaboration technologies, with the ability to translate user needs into platform improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory mentoring practices.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize tasks effectively, and make data-informed decisions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building or scaling mission-driven services that support academic and professional development.
