About The Role:
The Rent & Revenue Specialist performs all day-to-day rent revenue functions for assigned properties, including billing, subsidy payments, Yardi workflows, rent changes, delinquencies, and centralized rent collection. The Specialist provides internal support to Resident Relations Managers, Compliance, Service Providers, and Property Operations teams.
How You Make An Impact:
Rent & Revenue Administration
- Process all rent charges, adjustments, subsidies, and rent changes.
- Handle all Yardi rent-related functions, including ledgers, adjustments, corrections, reversals, and automation.
- Implement approved annual rent increases and rent schedule updates.
- Maintain subsidy billing accuracy and coordinate HAP/HCV payments.
Centralized Rent Collection & Financial Accuracy
- Post payments, troubleshoot ledger discrepancies, and coordinate with Finance on reconciliation.
- Assist with money management documentation for residents under representative payee or special programs.
- Prepare monthly rent roll reports for Compliance, Service Providers, and Operations.
Delinquency Monitoring & Support
- Track delinquencies daily and identify trends or new high-risk patterns.
- Prepare delinquency updates for site-level teams and the Retention Liaison.
- Assist with POQ rent-demand documents and attorney-required ledger packages.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case coordination and site-level stabilization planning.
Building Stabilization Support
- Provide accelerated support for properties with:
- Low rent collection
- High ACACs
- Increasing delinquency patterns
- Attend property stabilization or housing retention meetings as needed.
Training, Coaching & Cross-Department Support
- Train new Resident Relations Managers in:
- Rent processes and centralized collection procedures
- PSH communication strategies
- Eviction-prevention techniques and Housing Retention plan
- Legal documentation and notice procedures
- Work with Compliance on income/rent alignment and regulatory consistency.
- Maintain communication with resident service providers and/or case managers and interact with them to assist residents with housing issues and needs.
- Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Recommend measures to improve the fiscal performance of the project, better serve the residents, and/or preserve the physical integrity of the property.
- Other duties as assigned.
How You Meet Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; some college or training in real estate or human services preferred.
- 3+ years in rent administration, subsidy management, property management experience or financial management experience.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Strong expertise in Yardi Voyager, including rent revenue modules, Rent Café, and the Legal Module.
- Experience with HCV/HAP programs, LIHTC rent rules, and PSH environments.
- Reliable transportation or access to a vehicle is required to work in an office, attend in-person meetings, and offsite events.

- Ability to speak, read and write a second language such as Spanish, Vietnamese, Tagalog or Mandarin/Cantonese is highly desirable.
- Experience analyzing and prioritizing complex situations, policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and exercise good judgment while completing required duties.
- Thorough knowledge of fair housing and landlord-tenant laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, systems, and platforms and Yardi or other Property Management software.
- Ability to learn and use required mobile devices and business-related applications.
WORK CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:
- Position Classification: This position is classified as formally hybrid. A standard hybrid remote work stipend will be provided. Hybrid work schedule is determined by business needs and circumstances and approved by management.
- Must be able to work in a shared office environment with moderate to high noise levels with frequent contact and interruption.
- Multi-level buildings with stairs and/or ramps.
- Frequent travel by car throughout the county region and surrounding areas.
- Work in program service environments, which may include entering housing units or participants’ residences, program offices, non-agency offices, and meeting areas.
Our Benefits and Perks:
- Compensation: $36.06–$39.42 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
