The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Revenue Assurance Manager to join our team and play a key role in the continued development of Revenue Assurance at Leep. You’ll bring your technical expertise to some of our more complex assurance challenges, while helping to shape our approach for the future. Working collaboratively with teams across Leep, you’ll help strengthen controls, reduce financial and data risk and develop a more proactive and preventative approach to assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Assurance: Lead and undertake reviews, reconciliations and investigations to identify revenue leakage, billing discrepancies, financial risks and recovery opportunities.
Analysis and investigation: Analyse complex financial and operational datasets, lead root-cause investigations and translate findings into clear recommendations, actions and tangible improvements.
Revenue reconciliation: Lead and undertake complex reconciliations across billed revenue, industry charges, operational and industry data flows, ensuring material discrepancies are understood, investigated and progressed with the relevant business owners.
Process improvement and controls: Identify weaknesses and lead sustainable improvements that strengthen assurance, prevent recurring revenue leakage and improve efficiency.
Expansion of Revenue Assurance: Drive the continued development of Revenue Assurance into other business areas, identifying where additional assurance, analysis and controls can add value.
Strategic projects: Provide Revenue Assurance expertise and analytical support to strategic and cross-functional projects, identifying revenue, data and control implications.
Team management: Manage, support and develop the Senior Revenue Assurance Analyst, prioritising workload, providing technical guidance and coaching, and reviewing key outputs.
Stakeholder management: Work with Finance, Operations, Customer Operations and other stakeholders to investigate issues, agree corrective actions and communicate significant findings and financial impacts.
Reporting and governance: Develop and maintain management reports on revenue performance and reconciliation accuracy, maintaining visibility of key risks, opportunities and actions and presenting clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Compliance and industry expertise: Ensure Revenue Assurance activities comply with relevant industry regulations, manage associated risks and maintain current knowledge of utility industry charges, settlements and data flows.
Systems and tools: Use advanced analytical tools and software to interrogate large datasets, build robust reconciliations and reports, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Measures of Success
Revenue leakage and recovery opportunities identified, quantified and prioritised, with agreed corrective actions progressed and financial outcomes tracked.
Accurate and timely completion of agreed revenue reconciliations, with material discrepancies investigated, tracked and resolved with the relevant business owners.
Sustainable controls implemented, reducing recurring discrepancies, Revenue risks and avoidable manual effort.
Clear, accurate management reporting that enables senior stakeholders to understand assurance activity, margin protected, revenue leakage prevented or resolved, key risks, financial impacts and required actions.
Delivery of agreed plans to extend Revenue Assurance coverage into priority business areas, with findings, control improvements and financial benefits evidenced.
Effective prioritisation, technical support and review of the Senior Revenue Assurance Analyst’s work, supporting reliable team delivery and capability development.
