About SD Worx
SD Worx is a leading European provider of Payroll & HR services with global reach. We have offices across Europe and in Mauritius. Our purpose is to bring people solutions to life, enabling organisations of all sizes to turn Human Resources into a source of value for both the business and its people.
Our people solutions cover the entire employee journey – from getting people paid to attracting, rewarding and developing talent.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior RPA Developer to join our Smart Automation team and design, build and maintain robust automation solutions that deliver measurable value to the business.
Our main automation technologies are Blue Prism and Microsoft Power Automate. We are also open to candidates with strong RPA experience using platforms such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere, provided they are willing and able to learn Blue Prism and work within our technology landscape.
This is a hands-on senior development role. You will take ownership of automation projects from technical design and solution architecture through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
As a Senior RPA Developer, you will be expected to design the architecture of the solutions you implement, make sound technical decisions, ensure your solutions are secure, maintainable, scalable and resilient and collaborate with the technical leads when needed.
Which tasks can you expect?
Solution Design & Architecture
Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
Design the technical architecture for the automation projects you implement.
Determine the appropriate solution approach using Blue Prism, Power Automate or a combination of technologies.
Design integrations with applications, APIs, databases, files and other enterprise systems where required.
Consider exception handling, logging, security, credentials, scalability, resilience and operational support as part of the solution design.
Identify technical dependencies, constraints and risks early in the development lifecycle.
Ensure solutions comply with established architecture, security, development and governance standards.
Produce and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
Development & Delivery
Design, develop, test and deploy automation solutions using primarily Blue Prism and Power Automate.
Develop reliable, maintainable and reusable automation components.
Take ownership of assigned automation projects throughout the full development lifecycle.
Apply strong development practices around exception handling, logging, configuration, credential management and error recovery.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions rather than short-term fixes.
Support deployed automations and contribute to resolving production incidents, in collaboration with the support team.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Build solutions with reliability, maintainability and supportability in mind.
Perform appropriate unit and technical testing before solutions progress through the delivery lifecycle.
Participate in peer reviews and contribute constructively to improving solution quality.
Investigate automation failures and identify opportunities to prevent recurrence.
Continuously improve existing solutions where opportunities exist to increase stability, performance or maintainability.
Contribute reusable components and good practices to the wider team.
Collaboration
Work closely with Product Owners, the Technical Leads, business stakeholders and other developers.
Participate actively in technical discussions related to your projects and clearly explain your design decisions.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Share knowledge and experience with other team members.
Support less experienced developers when needed.
What do you have to offer?
At least 6-8 years’ experience developing RPA solutions using Blue Prism, Power Automate, UiPath or Automation Anywhere.
Proven experience designing and delivering complex, production-ready automation solutions.
Ability to independently design the technical architecture of the solutions you implement.
Good understanding of the end-to-end RPA lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment and production support.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and integration skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with Power BI.
Relevant RPA or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
Exposure to AI or intelligent automation technologies.
