Senior Ruby Developer

Senior Ruby Developer | Zwolle, Netherlands (Hybrid)

Join a growing software company as it opens a brand-new office in Zwolle. We’re looking for Ruby developers to help build and scale a modern, cloud-based product used by customers across Europe.

The role

• Design, build and maintain backend features in Ruby on Rails
• Work with experienced engineers in a collaborative, product-focused team
• Help shape technical decisions as the engineering team grows
• Contribute to a stable, scalable cloud architecture

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional Ruby (on Rails) experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud (Azure is a bonus)
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, or substantial Ruby experience in place of a Master’s
• Strong Python or PHP developers who are keen to move into Ruby are also welcome to apply
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

Working setup

• Hybrid: 2-3 days a week in the new Zwolle office for local candidates
• Candidates based further away can work with a lighter on-site commitment of around 1 day per week
• A short, transparent interview process: a culture chat, a technical conversation, then a technical assessment
