About Bainbridge

Bainbridge is an established financial services firm specializing in M&A, strategic advisory, and capital connections. With more than 30 years of experience in private equity and M&A, we work with business owners, investors, and private equity firms across a range of industries. We continue to expand our capabilities through investment banking, technology, and innovative approaches to business development.

Position Overview

Bainbridge is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead, develop, and expand our business development team while driving sales performance and supporting the firm's continued growth.

This hands-on leadership role requires a proven ability to manage high-performing sales teams, establish effective sales processes, and develop long-term client relationships. Working directly with senior leadership, the Senior Sales Manager will oversee daily sales operations, strengthen coaching and performance management practices, and implement strategies that improve productivity, pipeline development, and business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily sales activities, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, and accountability across the team.

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop sales professionals to support team growth and performance.

  • Establish individual and team KPIs, monitor results, and implement strategies to achieve sales and business development objectives.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide ongoing coaching, deliver performance evaluations, and address underperformance.

  • Develop and implement sales training programs that strengthen prospecting, consultative selling, relationship development, and closing effectiveness.

  • Oversee outbound business development, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales execution.

  • Analyze sales activity, conversion rates, and pipeline quality to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Evaluate and improve sales processes, CRM utilization, reporting, and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Guide the team in building relationships with business owners, private equity firms, investors, and other senior decision-makers.

  • Participate in strategic client discussions and support complex, relationship-driven sales opportunities.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on sales strategy, market opportunities, and growth initiatives.

  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture focused on professional development and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Progressive sales and business development experience within financial services, professional services, enterprise technology, data and analytics, or other complex B2B environments.

  • Proven experience directly managing sales teams, including day-to-day supervision, coaching, employee development, and formal performance evaluations.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish KPIs, set measurable goals, monitor team productivity, and drive accountability for results.

  • Strong track record of recruiting, hiring, training, and developing high-performing sales professionals.

  • Experience managing underperformance, providing constructive feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans.

  • Strong command of pipeline management, sales forecasting, CRM systems, and performance analytics.

  • Demonstrated success managing consultative, long-cycle sales processes involving C-suite executives, business owners, and other senior decision-makers.

  • Experience developing and improving sales processes, training programs, and team performance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a hands-on, results-oriented management approach.

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Experience in private equity, M&A, investment banking, management consulting, or related advisory services is highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

Bainbridge offers a competitive compensation package with significant performance-based earning potential.

  • Base Salary: $135,000.00–$160,000.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

  • Bonus Opportunity: $70,000.00–$250,000.00+, based on individual and team performance and applicable bonus terms.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.

  • Flexible paid time off.

  • Fully digital remote work environment with minimal travel required.
