Senior Salesforce Developer

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize complex Salesforce solutions that support critical business functions. You will work closely with product managers, software development managers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable applications on the Salesforce platform.

Our mortgage servicing, retail lending, and direct-to-consumer teams all run on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. You will build the tools, integrations, and Agentforce agents those teams use every day.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow and other configuration tools, and Agentforce customization. You should know software engineering principles well, especially SOLID and standard design patterns. You should also have a strong understanding of JavaScript, including asynchronous behavior and modern frameworks. This role requires a high level of technical skill, strong problem solving, and a passion for clean, maintainable solutions.

Essential duties and responsibilities: Includes the following responsibilities, but is not limited to:

  • Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, Flow, and other declarative tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST APIs and Salesforce Connect. Our main systems are an operational data store, a loan servicing platform, and loan origination systems.
  • Build and support Service Cloud features for mortgage servicing: Service Cloud Voice on Amazon Connect, Omni-Channel routing, and Email-to-Case.
  • Build Agentforce agents with prompt templates, agent actions, and evaluation tests.
  • Maintain the security model for a multi-line-of-business org: permission sets, profiles, sharing rules, and field-level security.
  • Ensure code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and platform strategy.

Qualifications and experience:

  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Strong Apex: triggers, Batch, Queueable, Schedulable, invocable methods, and REST callouts.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, security, and governor limits.
  • Integration experience with REST/JSON APIs, Named Credentials, OAuth 2.0 connected apps, and high-volume batch processing.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, including asynchronous programming and component-based frameworks (especially LWC).
  • Solid grasp of software design principles, including SOLID, object-oriented design, and clean code practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Agentforce, including configuration, customization, or integration with Service Cloud or Sales Cloud, as well as Einstein.
  • Experience with Service Cloud Voice or another CTI integration, Omni-Channel, and Email-to-Case.
  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Person Accounts.
  • Mortgage servicing or lending industry knowledge.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as .NET, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Gearset, Copado, or SFDX.
  • Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex in your development workflow.
  • Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer II, Agentforce Specialist, Platform Integration Architect, or JavaScript Developer.

Supervisory responsibilities: Direct reports: No.
