Senior SAP Basis / Security Consultant - SAP S/4HANA Migration Specialist

We are looking for a Senior SAP Consultant specialized in security, roles, and authorizations, with proven experience in SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects.

In this role, you will drive the strategy for adapting and optimizing the security model, taking into account SAP Fiori enablement, role architecture, and the impact of authorizations on FUE (Full Use Equivalent) license consumption. You will act as a technical leader, guiding key security architecture decisions throughout the SAP transformation journey.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current SAP ECC roles and authorizations model, identifying the impacts of migrating to S/4HANA
• Define the strategy for migrating, adapting, and optimizing existing roles
• Design and validate the S/4HANA role architecture, aligned with business processes and the company codes involved
• Lead the SAP Fiori security and enablement strategy, including the definition of catalogs, spaces, pages, and associated roles
• Analyze the impact of roles and authorizations on FUE consumption, identifying licensing optimization opportunities to be validated with SAP
• Collaborate with functional consultants to define role, user, and authorization matrices by business process
• Identify segregation of duties (SoD) risks and propose appropriate security controls
• Support configuration, adjustments, and authorization testing during the realization and integration testing phases
• Provide technical support for resolving incidents related to roles, profiles, and access to Fiori applications
• Participate in go-live preparation, cutover, and stabilization of the security model in S/4HANA

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP Security/Basis, with demonstrated participation in SAP S/4HANA conversion projects
• Hands-on experience migrating and adapting roles and authorizations from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA
• Proficiency with SAP security tools: PFCG, SU24, SU25, SU53, SUIM, and STAUTHTRACE
• Advanced knowledge of SAP Fiori Launchpad, including catalogs, spaces, pages, applications, and OData authorizations
• Experience designing role architectures based on business processes, company codes, and responsibilities
• Knowledge of single, composite, and derived role models
• Experience in segregation of duties (SoD) analysis and critical access management
• Understanding of the SAP S/4HANA licensing model, user classification, and FUE consumption
• Experience with authorization analysis tools and security incident diagnostics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for both technical and functional challenges
• Effective communication with technical teams, functional consultants, and business stakeholders
• Technical leadership to guide security architecture decisions
• A collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on meeting project milestones

Nice to have

• Experience leading or advising on licensing optimization initiatives validated directly with SAP
• Background in large-scale SAP transformation programs across multiple company codes or regions
• Experience defining and implementing governance frameworks for role and authorization management
