Senior Security Engineer

Senior Security Engineer - Fully Remote in the UK

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Security Engineer to strengthen application security, AWS infrastructure and engineering practices. You’ll take ownership of identifying vulnerabilities, implementing fixes and improving security across a platform used by millions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate and remediate vulnerabilities across applications, APIs and dependencies.
• Secure AWS infrastructure, including IAM, ECS, Lambda, messaging and secrets management.
• Manage and optimise Wiz for security monitoring, alerting and remediation.
• Improve threat detection, investigate alerts and support incident response.
• Implement security controls using Terraform, CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Review database security across MongoDB and Snowflake.
• Use AI tools to accelerate security testing, investigation and remediation.

Essential Skills

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js engineering experience.
• Proven application security and vulnerability remediation experience.
• Hands-on AWS security experience.
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorisation, API security and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience with threat detection and incident response.
• Ability to use AI tools effectively while independently validating results.

Desirable

• Experience with Wiz.
• React and React Native security.
• MongoDB, Snowflake and event-driven system security.
• Python and security tooling development.
