Senior SEO Content Writer Submit application We’re looking for a Senior SEO Content Writer to join our growing team at Opt Digital and take ownership of writing and refining the content that fuels our client campaigns. This isn’t just about hitting word counts. You’ll be working closely with our Content Managers (who handle workflow and briefs) and our SEO Specialists / Account Managers (who set the strategy) to produce content that ranks, converts, and positions our clients as the go-to experts in their market. About Opt Digital Opt Digital is a fast-scaling SEO agency serving trades and service businesses — roofers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, HVAC, and more — across New Zealand, Australia, and the US. We’re scaling fast: targeting $200K/month in recurring revenue while onboarding 6–12 new clients each month. Content is at the core — and this role ensures what we publish is not only optimized for Google, but makes sense to business owners and drives leads. What the Role Entails High-Impact Writing : Produce polished, search-optimized service pages, blogs, and local landing pages that connect with real customers. Collaboration with Strategy : Work alongside SEO Specialists and Account Managers to translate campaign strategies into content that delivers measurable outcomes. Editorial Review : Support Content Managers by reviewing, editing, and strengthening work from junior writers or outsourced teams. Topical Authority Building : Write within structured silos to establish clients as leaders in their industries. Conversion-Focused Copy : Craft content that doesn’t just rank — but drives form fills, calls, and booked jobs. Industry Research : Dive deep into trades and services niches to write with accuracy and authority. Process Input : Help refine briefs, templates, and content SOPs to keep scaling output without losing quality. Team Support : Act as the senior writing backbone for content managers — ensuring deadlines are met and standards never drop.
