Position Summary:

At managed.com, we're a remote-first, global team. We're also AI-first, so finding practical ways to use AI is part of every role here.

As the Senior SEO Specialist, you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and lead hands-on SEO strategy and execution across Managed.com brands. You will own technical, on-page, off-page, AEO, analytics, and reporting work while partnering with content, engineering, product, design, paid search, and brand marketing teams to improve organic visibility and business results.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and execute SEO strategies across Managed.com brands in support of business goals
  • Run technical SEO audits, maintain a prioritized fix list, improve site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, and Core Web Vitals, and partner with engineering on changes that require development support
  • Own on-page optimization, including keyword research, metadata, internal linking, content optimization, and structured data and schema implementation
  • Develop and execute answer engine optimization strategies, track brand presence and citation accuracy across AI platforms, and adapt the search strategy as Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, and other experiences evolve
  • Build and manage off-page SEO programs, including link acquisition, digital PR, and brand mention strategies
  • Write and refresh optimization-led content, address declining page performance, and create data-informed briefs for the content team
  • Build dashboards for organic traffic, rankings, conversions, revenue attribution, and AI visibility, define SEO KPIs, and deliver regular insights and strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Run competitive and market analysis to identify search gaps and growth opportunities across brands
  • Provide final SEO quality assurance for new pages and press releases and bring an organic search perspective to cross-functional launches
  • Evaluate and test SEO, analytics, and AI tools that can improve results or streamline workflows, and share effective methods with teammates
  • Support other tasks or projects as assigned to meet team and business needs

About you:

  • At least five years of hands-on SEO experience, with advanced capability across technical, on-page, off-page, and analytics-focused SEO and demonstrated organic traffic and ranking growth
  • Judgment and ownership to identify opportunities, set priorities across multiple brands, make sound day-to-day decisions, and move from strategy through execution with minimal oversight
  • Hands-on experience with AEO or AI-driven search and a demonstrated habit of testing emerging AI tools and applying useful findings to workflows
  • Advanced experience with Google Search Console and GA4; strong experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, or a comparable SEO platform; and strong experience with Screaming Frog or a comparable crawler
  • Advanced ability to implement structured data and schema, with working HTML and CSS knowledge for on-page changes that do not require development support
  • Strong SEO writing and editing skills for content refreshes, answer-first sections, FAQs, comparison pages, and content briefs
  • Advanced analytics capability, including dashboard development, KPI reporting, and revenue attribution; Looker experience is preferred, and comparable business intelligence experience is acceptable
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, translate SEO recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences, and coordinate organic and paid keyword strategies
  • Preferred experience in web hosting, SaaS, or another technology environment, as well as international or multilingual SEO, WordPress or another CMS, and site migrations
  • Python, SQL, scripting, or conversion rate optimization experience is an asset
  • Communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English, with other languages considered an asset

What we offer:

  • Remote-first work, with team members across many countries
  • Competitive pay, benchmarked against the markets we hire in
  • Room to grow, with real ownership of your work and support for professional development
  • Flexibility in how and when you work, within the core hours your team needs
  • Access to the AI tools you need to do your work, and the room to experiment with them
