Job Title: Senior Sever Administrator
Position Type: Contract to Hire
Location: Hybrid - Dallas, Tx
Position Overview
The Sr. Server Administrator supports, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots enterprise systems—including servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage, backup solutions, and related infrastructure services. This role assists with system administration, infrastructure projects, disaster recovery, cloud technology adoption, documentation, and operational improvements, working under the guidance of senior engineers. Collaboration with infrastructure, network, security, cloud, database, application, and service desk teams ensures reliable and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise systems (servers, OS, virtualization, storage, backup)
- Assist with incident resolution, maintenance, deployments, patching, and access management
- Participate in planning, testing, implementation, and support of infrastructure solutions (upgrades, technology refreshes, disaster recovery, application platform support)
- Maintain documentation, inventories, and procedures
- Identify opportunities for reliability, performance, and efficiency improvements
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and communicate system changes
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field; OR
- Associate degree with two years of relevant experience; OR
- Equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and related experience
- Preferred: 1–3 years supporting enterprise systems, servers, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, or related infrastructure technologies
