Shot Social is a content agency that grows founders, CEOs and podcasters across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. We've built and scaled short-form for some of the biggest podcasts, creators and names in the world and we're growing even bigger.

We run a testing-led model: strong hooks, high-quality editing, effective posting, and relentless optimisation. Now we're building a team of short-form editors we can rely on. If you can take a long-form podcast and turn it into clips that stop the scroll, we want to see your work.

THE ROLE - You'll turn long-form podcast episodes into scroll-stopping short-form clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Day to day that means:Watching full episodes and finding the moments most likely to go viral (manually — more on that below)

• Cutting them into clips in our house style: strong hook, clean subtitles, tight pacing, and the right b-roll
• Reviewing together with the SMM how your clips perform each week and using that data to make the next batch sharper

• WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORYou can spot the moment that will perform. This is the number-one skill — everything else is craft layered on top of it.
• You edit fast and to a high standard, and you hit deadlines.
• You can match an existing style precisely, rather than imposing your own.
• You understand what actually works on short-form — hooks, retention, pacing.
• Motion graphics, subtitling and the occasional colour grade are all comfortable territory.
• You source b-roll that fits the client — real, influencer-style or real-life footage, never stock or movie clips.
• You're happy using AI to speed up the repetitive parts (transitions, cropping) so you can spend your time on the creative work — but you pick your moments yourself. We can always tell when a clip was chosen by AI instead of by someone who actually watched the episode.
• You're open to feedback and to learning new formats. The first few edits are usually revision-heavy while you learn our style — that's normal, and it settles quickly.

• YOUR SETUPYou'll be handling 4K footage and multi-camera podcast recordings, so you'll need:Fast, reliable internet
• 2TB+ of storage and the ability to download large footage files
• A machine that comfortably handles 4K and up to 5 camera angles

• HOW WE WORKRemote, freelance and deliverable-based — you manage your own hours, as long as you hit deadlines and stay reachable on Slack during our working windows.
• Fast turnaround — we aim for under 48 hours per clip.
• Always ahead — we stay at least a week ahead of content, so there's no last-minute scramble.
• Data-driven — we test, review and refine every single week.
