The property is designed to celebrate South Australia’s heritage while delivering a distinctive, high-end guest stay. Guests will experience carefully tailored stays that combine historic character with contemporary comfort and service. Team members will be part of a small, premium hospitality operation focused on personalized service, local storytelling, and memorable guest experiences.
Role Description The Senior Signature Host is a full-time, hybrid role based in Adelaide, SA, with a blend of on-site presence at The Vantage Semaphore and some work-from-home duties. On a day-to-day basis, this role leads guest-facing service, welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out, and delivering a seamless, personalized experience throughout their stay. The Senior Signature Host coordinates boutique accommodation services, oversees food and beverage offerings in collaboration with partners, and supports curated tourism experiences such as local tours and special events. This role guides and mentors hosting staff, supports training in service standards, and assists in implementing sales initiatives, including upselling experiences and packages. Administrative responsibilities may include managing reservations, responding to guest enquiries, updating guest profiles, and working remotely on follow-up communication, feedback, and service improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to convey the property’s story and local heritage.
- High-level Customer Service skills, with experience delivering premium, personalized guest experiences in boutique or luxury hospitality environments.
- Demonstrated Training and coaching skills to guide, mentor, and support hosting or frontline service teams in maintaining consistent standards.
- Experience in Food & Beverage service or coordination, with an understanding of quality standards appropriate to a luxury estate setting.
- Sales skills, including experience with upselling accommodation, experiences, and packages, and comfort working toward occupancy or revenue goals.
- Previous experience in hotel, boutique accommodation, tourism, or hospitality operations, preferably in a supervisory or senior host role.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capability to manage multiple guest requests and operational tasks efficiently.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, using digital tools for reservations, guest communication, and remote administrative work.
- Knowledge of Adelaide and South Australian tourism, culture, and local attractions is highly beneficial.
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as required to support guest stays and experiences.
