Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Key Responsibilities: The GBS Automation team supports the shared services unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Global Business Services (GBS) by providing process automation expertise and web development capabilities. Our distributed team is collaboratively developing the future capabilities of the company by combining existing and new technologies in an innovative manner. The Senior Smart Automation Developer is a key professional reporting to the GBS Automation Manager. The role supports the Digital Enablement Department by having expert-level RPA automation skills. End-to-end solution -, technical design and implementation is also a key responsibility of this role. Key responsibilities are: Develop end-to-end automation solutions in UiPath. Write code in a clear, structured, and standard way. Build automations using other non-RPA technologies (like MS Power Automate, Alteryx, etc.) End-to-end ownership of planning, design, architecture, infrastructure of automations. Testing, debugging, and implement fixes. Analyzing and optimizing automation performance. Adhering internal audit, compliance, data privacy and GDPR rules and regulations. Translate business requirements, functional design into internal technology documentation. Provide precise Level of Effort estimations (within max 10% tolerance). Responsible for the technical quality of automations products. Full ownership of exploring and bringing in new tools and technologies in collaboration with the broader Digital enablement and GBS Automation team. Training and mentoring of colleagues at lower levels in the team. Customer and project team communication. Ownership of own project management aspects. Skills/ Qualification/ Experience Expertise in using RPA platforms is required, preferably UiPath: UiPath Studio: Building transactional processes, knowing crucial and advanced actions, formulas and the usage, settings, parameters of those. UiPath Orchestrator. Able to deploy, publish packages and manage processes, environments, machines and all other aspects and infrastructure elements. Experience with one or more types of databases (MS SQL preferred) Experienced in GitHub procedures and Agile development. Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and VBA). Experience in scripting (Python, VB preferred) Knowledge of Microsoft Power Toolkit with special focus on Power Automate and Cloud Flows. Basic AI (Open AI/Chat GPT) knowledge, including API usage. Understanding of ERP systems (preferably SAP, JD Edwards, Sales Force, etc.). Experience in Shared Services environment, especially on financial and customer care processes. Demeanor dedicated to delivering excellent service and a strong desire to learn. Ability to maintain a positive demeanor. The individual should have high energy with the ability to organize/priorities workload. Training and mentoring skills. English language skills are required for this role. 6+ years of relevant experience required. Advantages: Web-programming and web application development, including knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular framework, Material Design for Angular Experience of consuming REST API services. Usage of text editors/IDEs (VS Code, Sublime, etc.). Experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (C#, TypeScript preferred) AWS experience.
