Role Description

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services and tooling that power The Agentic Loop’s content, programs, and community features. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and implementing scalable APIs, integrating AI models and data pipelines, and improving performance, reliability, and security of core systems. The role involves collaborating closely with product, content, and engineering partners to translate user needs into robust technical solutions, as well as reviewing code, mentoring other developers, and contributing to engineering best practices. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, ownership of projects from concept to deployment, and continuous improvement of the technical stack in line with the evolving agentic AI landscape.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Demonstrated expertise in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade systems.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and cloud-based services.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and designing maintainable, modular architectures.
• Experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, or similar).
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems, LLM integration, or agent frameworks is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working in remote, asynchronous environments with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and driving improvements in code quality and engineering practices.
