Senior Software Engineer

A large healthcare technology business is looking for an experienced technical leader to join the architecture team. The role focuses on designing scalable solutions across a diverse landscape of desktop systems and cloud services while driving modernization through cloud-native and AI-integrated architectures. You will work closely with engineering and product management to define long-term technical roadmaps and standards.

What you'll be doing

• Defining architecture for multiple product lines, balancing technical health with delivery requirements

• Designing scalable and secure solutions across C++, Java, Python, and Kubernetes-based stacks

• Leading modernization initiatives including cloud-native services and AI-integrated architectures

• Coaching engineers and leads while establishing reusable patterns and reference implementations

• Integrating AI agents, workflows, and pipelines into core architectural concepts

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as an architect for large-scale SaaS or enterprise systems

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

• Deep expertise in modern architecture patterns, cloud-native design, and security-by-design

• Proven ability to leverage AI tooling and agentic coding platforms within software engineering

• Fluency in German and English with strong communication and decision-making skills
