Senior Software Engineer

Capa is a B2B fintech infrastructure company built to make money movement across Latin America fast, simple, and compliant. We give fintechs and financial operators a single, reliable channel to move pesos and other currencies across the region in real time.

Responsibilities

\- Own a backend service (NestJS/TypeORM/Postgres) or frontend module (React/Vite/TanStack) end-to-end, from design through production
\- Design for money-critical correctness: idempotency, race conditions, reconciliation-safe state transitions
\- Write integration tests against real Postgres (Testcontainers), not just mocked unit tests, for anything touching money flows- Own AWS infra changes via CDK for the services you own
\- Design and review API contracts (NestJS + Swagger) and shared TypeScript types across services- Own QA for your own features end-to-end — write and execute the test plan, cover edge cases
\- Mentor Mid/Junior engineers; review PRs; raise the team's code-quality bar
\- On-call capable for money-critical paths
\- Partner with product/compliance on ambiguous, cross-cutting problems (KYB, FX, settlement)

Requirements

\-5+ years professional software engineering, strong TypeScript across backend and frontend (or deep on one side, fluent on the other)
\-Backend: Node.js + NestJS (or a comparable opinionated framework), an ORM (TypeORM), PostgreSQL, REST API design- Frontend: React, modern data-fetching (TanStack Query or equivalent), component-driven development
\-AWS fundamentals: Lambda, IAM, KMS, S3, SQS/SNS; comfortable reading/writing CDK or another IaC tool
\-Testing discipline: understands why integration tests against a real DB matter when correctness has financial consequences

Nice-to-haves

\- Fintech/payments/crypto experience (FX, cross-border settlement, ledger/reconciliation, KYC/KYB)
Datadog or comparable observability experience- i18next / multi-market LatAm product experience
\-Radix/shadcn-style design systems + Tailwind
