About the role

We're growing the team building Bidlevel, ProcurePro's AI-powered product. You'll be a senior engineer on a small team, designing and shipping product end-to-end and working directly with the founders.

You'll bring at least 5 years as a senior software engineer, and you'll help set the bar for how we build.

• Design and build product and AI features end-to-end, from scoping and architecture through to backend services, APIs and application functionality.
• Build production-grade LLM applications with Langchain, LangGraph and related frameworks, turning prototypes into reliable product features.
• Own the full lifecycle of AI systems, including dataset creation, evaluation design, model orchestration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Support and improve deployed AI systems in production, ensuring reliability, observability, and iterative improvement.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architecture, including decisions about infrastructure, scalability, and responsible AI practices.
• Work across our tech stack, primarily Typescript for production workloads, and Python for notebook prototyping in Hex.
• Own what you ship in production, including monitoring, debugging, observability and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to scope and build AI-powered experiences that are performant, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Share what you know, helping other engineers level up through pairing, reviews and documentation.
  

• Langchain/LangGraph (Typescript & Python) deployed on AWS ECS & Lambda
• Langsmith for datasets/evals/experiments
• Hex for prototyping/notebook'ing
  

• At least 5 years' experience as a software engineer, shipping and running production software in a product company with a focus on back end or full stack focus.
• Strong Typescript skills. We ship production workloads in Typescript. Python is a plus for notebook work in Hex.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications in production, using Langchain, LangGraph or similar. If you've designed evals or used Langsmith, even better.
• Solid AWS experience, including how your systems are deployed and run (ECS, Lambda and related services).
• Good judgement on system design. You know when to build it properly and when to ship the simple version and learn.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with high grit and a focus on results. You're comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out as you go.
• A bias for action and ownership. You build, test and learn fast, without waiting for a perfect spec.
• A growth mindset, always learning and sharing what you learn.

Compensation

• Salary based on experience
