Senior Software Engineer

6 Month Contract - Rates Negotiable - Remote from Hungary

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale modern web applications and data-driven products. You'll work across the full technology stack, taking ownership of technical solutions from architecture and development through to deployment and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable frontend and backend applications.
• Design and build APIs, services, and data pipelines.
• Drive architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and observability.

Requirements

• 6+ years' experience in software engineering.
• Strong experience with Python (FastAPI preferred) and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Frontend expertise with React and/or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability tools.
• Proven ability to deliver complex technical projects and influence technical direction.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

• Event-driven architecture experience.
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms or analytics products.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
