Are you...

• A Software Engineer with 5+ years’ experience, fluent in one or more modern languages: Python, Go, Java, Ruby, TypeScript or similar?

• Comfortable owning cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP or Azure, not just deploying onto it?

• Fluent in containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and you know exactly what good CI/CD looks like?

• Already baking AI into your day-to-day engineering, whether that’s AI coding assistants, AI-assisted testing and code review, or AI-driven infrastructure automation?

• Drawn to working alongside engineers who genuinely love solving complex, end-to-end cloud-native transformation challenges for customers, not just shipping features in isolation?

About the Role

Our client is a scale-up cloud solutions consultancy helping customers get the most out of software and cloud, spanning DevOps, DevSecOps, transformation and strategy. Off the back of strong recent growth, they’re significantly expanding their engineering team to build out new squads for new customer engagements.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work across a genuine spread of industries and sectors. No two projects look the same, which means constant exposure to new problems, new domains and new ways of thinking.

AI-Enabled Engineering

Their engineers aren’t just talking about AI, they’re using it daily to ship faster and work smarter. Expect a toolkit that typically includes things like GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code for AI-assisted development, ChatGPT/Claude for design and problem-solving, and AI-assisted approaches to testing, code review and infrastructure automation. If you’re someone who’s naturally curious about how AI changes the way engineering gets done, you’ll fit right in.

The Tech

Every engagement is a little different, so we’re looking for engineers who can flex across:

• Programming: at least one of Go, Python, Java, Ruby, TypeScript (or similar)
• Cloud: AWS, GCP or Azure
• Containers/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, etc
• IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane
• CI/CD: CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar
• AI Tooling: AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and AI-assisted testing/ops tooling

The Role

• Hands-on: This is a genuinely hands-on role across the full stack, from application code through to cloud infrastructure, with technical excellence at the heart of everything you build.
• Communication: You’ll work directly with customers, translating technical detail for non-technical stakeholders, running demos, and navigating the occasional tricky conversation with confidence.
• Leading & mentoring: You’ll be someone the team looks to for knowledge, guidance and mentorship, playing an active role in growing the people around you and building a collaborative, psychologically safe team culture.
